Jessica Cervantes - Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Ms. Cervantes is a 2006 graduate of Mt. Whitney High School and has a long athletic relationship with Visalia. Coach Cervantes attended the College of the Sequoias and the University of West Alabama. Her vast coaching experience spreads across softball, volleyball, and basketball over a nine year span. Coach Cervantes has coached for Visalia National Junior Basketball (NJB), at the Middle School level, and for the past four years at Tulare Union High School. We believe that Coach Cervantes will be an excellent addition to the EL Diamante Family! Jerome Guzman - Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Mr. Guzman has served El Diamante High School as an Education Specialist since 2015. Coach Guzman was the Head Varsity Assistant Coach for El Diamante Boys' Basketball for the last 10 seasons. The Miners are very fortunate to bring in a coach of the caliber of Coach Guzman; he demonstrates his enthusiasm for his students and players on the court and in the classroom. We are confident that Coach Guzman's vision will serve our student-athletes well by focusing on player development and the importance of academic success. Brett Dwelle - Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Mr. Dwelle is a graduate of the University of Denver and is a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) E-License holder. Coach Dwelle has wide-ranging coaching experience, beginning in 2010 as a coach for California Odyssey South Soccer (now South Valley United as of March 2017), for the under 11 and under 19 age groups. We feel that Coach Dwelle is a strong fit for our program as he served as the EL Diamante Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. El Diamante High School is very fortunate to be able to hire coaches that will enhance the culture of El Diamante athletics while focusing on the academic development of our student-athletes.
