*         Miner Emporium:  Come by the Miner Emporium (student store) and check out the new gear. We have beanies, bucket hats, hoodies and t-shirts with our new logo. Get them while supplies last.

*         The Marines will be on campus on Mondays in the quad area, the Army will be on campus on Tuesdays in front of the Career Center, the Navy will be on campus on Wednesdays in front of the Career Center.






STUDENT NOTES




*         Students: If you are a Senior and went to Linwood Elementary School for at least 3 years, please come to Student Services for their Scholarship.

*         Hey Juniors, It is time for you to start thinking about scholarships for next year. Join me in room 605 after school on Mondays and Wednesdays to get some tips on how to get ready for your senior year college applications.

*         Online Summer School:  Sign-up sheets are now available in the Student Services Office for online summer school.  The classes available are World History, US History and Civics/Econ.  Students must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA to be eligible to take online summer school.  Sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis and are limited to 30 students per course.

*         Seniors: If you have been awarded a scholarship from any organization, please stop by Student Services ASAP and let us know.



*         Scholarship Workshop:  Seniors-Ms. Bitney is hosting an ongoing scholarship workshop on Mondays and Wednesdays after school in room 605 from 3:30 to 4:30.  This is a great resource for assistance and information about scholarships, so make sure to go by and see her.

*         Seniors-College Covered is offering a drawing to randomly select 11 eligible students to win a $10,000 scholarship award. For details, go to www.collegecovered.com<http://www.collegecovered.com>

*         Seniors: Transcript request forms are available in the Student Services Office. If you need an official transcript, please fill this out and allow 2-4 days for Mrs. Davis to process your requests. Your first 3 Official transcripts are free.  After that you will be charged $1 per transcript.

*         Cap & Gowns:  Seniors if you missed your opportunity to place your orders, you have 3 options to ensure you order in time for graduation.

CLUB NOTES





*          Short RAH Club meeting today Wednesday 4/11 room 302 at lunch. We will be giving out Pride Prom tickets and also discussing scholarships.



*          Informational Meeting for anyone interested in playing Girls Water Polo during the 2018 season will be held on Thursday, 4/12 during lunch in Mr. Young's room (362). Important pre-season information will be provided. Snacks and drinks will be available.



*          Come join FCA and get free pizza at our next meeting this Thursday, 4/12 in the gym at lunch.





*          Sign Language Club:  Meetings every Tuesday in Room 365.  Bring your lunch.

PARENT NOTES



*         Seeking parent volunteers to assist at El Diamante High School sports physicals on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the gymnasium. Physicals will be held from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Volunteers will help with check-in and help the doctors at various stations. If you would like to help please contact School Nurse at 735-3520.



*         Attention Parents: To purchase Miner Swag please visit the EDHS Fan store on the EDHS Website: http://vusd.org/ElDiamante



*         The Miner Foundation Dinner is coming up.  The event will be held on Saturday, April 21st at the Elks Lodge.  Tickets will be available for purchase in the Financial office and there also is a link on El Diamante's website. Tickets are $25 per person for anyone over the age of 21. The Foundation is also seeking donations. The event proceeds will directly benefit students through scholarships and campus projects. The proceeds from your donated item will earn money for your club or team- 50% of proceeds from your donation go back to your group. If you have a business or know of someone that is able to donate items, please let us know! There will be a link on the website with the donation letter and donor form to be completed and returned.



Donated items can vary from gift certificates, baskets for the silent auction to larger items like vacation lodging that may raise funds through the live auction.
