·         Miner Emporium:  Come by the Miner Emporium (student store) and check out the new gear. We have beanies, bucket hats, hoodies and t-shirts with our new logo. Get them while supplies last.

·         The Marines will be on campus on Mondays in the quad area, the Army will be on campus on Tuesdays in front of the Career Center, the Navy will be on campus on Wednesdays in front of the Career Center, and the National Guard will be on campus on Thursdays in the quad area, to answer any questions you may have.

STUDENT NOTES

Today:

·         Dinner is ready! Come to Chipotle in Visalia tonight, November 14th anytime between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Bring the flyer from PTSA Facebook page, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you're supporting the cause to make sure 33% of the proceeds will be donated to El Diamante PTSA!

Old Announcements:

·         Attention Students: Headgear is not allowed. This includes hats, caps, bandanas, sweatbands, hairnets, head bands, do-rags, and beanies. This dress code will be enforced and you will be asked to remove with possible confiscation and parent pick up.

·         Attention Miners, we will be having another homeroom competition this week. The homerooms wearing the most Miner Gear will earn a free item from Jack in the Box. Only one homeroom winner per grade level. Winning classes will be announced at the end of homeroom. Any questions please see Mr. Bishop or Mrs. McBride.

·         Students and parents who have questions regarding how transferable college coursework affects the class ranking system on their transcript, are invited to come during lunch to discuss their individual situation tomorrow, November 15th at 12:30pm in the Career Center.

·         Miner's Got Talent Show:  The Miner's Got Talent Show is tomorrow night at 6:30 PM in the theater.  Admission is a $2 donation to the Holiday Food Drive.

·         The Thanksgiving Holiday begins Monday, 11/19/18 through Friday, 11/23/28. There will be NO SCHOOL during this week. Students return to school on Monday, November 26, 2018.

·         Harvest Dance Pictures are in. You can pick them up in the Finance Office before school, at lunch or after school.

·         CSUF President's Scholar Program: Interested in a full ride academic scholarship? Visit this info session to learn about the Cal State Fullerton President's Scholar Program and how to apply. The presentation will be on Friday, November 30th, during homeroom. Sign up in the Student Services office.

·         Students if you need to request a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Mrs. Springer's room 318 with your transcript. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during homeroom, and during lunch. Please allow 2 school days for processing before picking it up. We will no longer issue Pink Slips in the Student Services office.

SENIOR NOTES

·         Scholarship Workshop:  Seniors-Ms. Bitney is hosting an ongoing scholarship workshop on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 605 from 3:30 to 4:30.  This is a great resource for assistance and information about scholarships, so make sure to go by and see her.

·         Seniors- College Covered is offering a drawing to randomly select eligible students to win a $10,000 scholarship award to help pay for college.
