·         Miner Emporium:  Come by the Miner Emporium (student store) and check out the new gear. We have beanies, bucket hats, hoodies and t-shirts with our new logo. Get them while supplies last.



·         The Marines will be on campus on Mondays in the quad area, the Army will be on campus on Tuesdays in front of the Career Center, the Navy will be on campus on Wednesdays in front of the Career Center, and the National Guard will be on campus on Thursdays in the quad area, to answer any questions you may have.













STUDENT NOTES




Today:

·         Senior Graduation Cap and Gown Order in Civics / Econ: Attention Seniors and Senior Parents: Ordering information packets will be distributed today October 17th at the senior cap and gown presentation during home room in the EDHS Gym. Cap, Gown and Graduation Announcement orders will be accepted on Monday, October 29th in the Civics / Econ Classes.  Students who do not have a Civics / Econ class may place their orders during lunch outside room 617.

·         The philosophy club meets today at lunch in room 351. Creative and free thinking individuals are encouraged, everyone is welcome.

New Announcements:

·         The COS Application Workshop that was scheduled for Monday, October 15th has been re-scheduled to next Thursday, October 25th. Students that are signed up will receive a notice sometime this week with the details.

·         Scholarship Workshop:  Seniors-Ms. Bitney is hosting an ongoing scholarship workshop on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 605 from 3:30 to 4:30.  This is a great resource for assistance and information about scholarships, so make sure to go by and see her.

·         Seniors: The COS Scholarship Application is now open. The deadline to submit your application is November 26th, 2018.  For more information visit: http://www.cos.edu/FinancialAid/GrantsLoans/Scholarships/Pages/default.aspx

·         Seniors: The El Diamante High School Local Scholarship Application is now open. The deadline to submit your application is February 1st, 2019.  For more information visit: https://goo.gl/BJrxjY

Old Announcements:

·         Girls basketball workouts and conditioning Monday October 15th 7-830pm, Tuesday October 16th 330-5pm and Thursday October 18th 7-830pm. Tryouts will be held October 29-31. For more info join the basketball remind by texting @eldmine to 81010.

·         Hello students: All unclaimed items in the Lost & Found will be donated to the Goodwill this Friday, 10/19/18. Lost and Found items are located outside of attendance. Thank you.

·         Students interested in taking the ASVAB test; it will take place Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at 8:00 AM in the EDHS Library. This test measures a young adult's strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. This is for grades 10-12 only. Please sign-up in Student Services.

·         Students if you need to request a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Mrs. Springer's room 318 with your transcript. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during homeroom, and during lunch. Please allow 2 school days for processing before picking it up. We will no longer issue Pink Slips in the Student Services office.

·         The Fresno State Ambassador will be on campus every other Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM starting September 6th.
