·         Miner Emporium:  Come by the Miner Emporium (student store) and check out the new gear. We have beanies, bucket hats, hoodies and t-shirts with our new logo. Get them while supplies last.

·         The Marines will be on campus on Mondays in the quad area, the Army will be on campus on Tuesdays in front of the Career Center, the Navy will be on campus on Wednesdays in front of the Career Center, and the National Guard will be on campus on Thursdays in the quad area, to answer any questions you may have.

·         Battle for the Saddle week: Below are the dress up days, lunch activities, and rally schedule:

STUDENT NOTES

Today:

·         Lunch meeting in room 911 today, October 25 at 12:45, mandatory for all girls who are interested in trying out for softball.

·         Attention Miners: It's time for another Homeroom Competition! During Battle for the Saddle Week we will have a classroom door competition. Decorations must be related to Battle for the Saddle. Judges will decide one Homeroom Winner today. Winners will receive an early release pizza party during lunch. Any questions please see Mr. Bishop or Mrs. McBride.

Old Announcements:

·         IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE BATTLE FOR THE SADDLE ASSEMBLY - October 26.  Due to the limited space available during the Battle for the Saddle assembly, priority seating will be given to current students at El Diamante High School.  Parents/Guardians will need to have a ticket in order to attend the Battle for the Saddle Assembly.  Tickets will be issued to senior football players for Parents/Guardians.  These tickets will only admit 1 Parent/Guardian.  Please present your ticket at the front gate between 10:45 AM to receive your visitor's pass.  Tickets will not be honored after 11:15 AM.

·         The Freshmen and JV Football Games will be played on Thursday, October 25 this year.  El Diamante is the home team for this game; therefore, all ASB stickers and Family passes will be honored at this game.  Freshmen game begins at 5:00 p.m. and JV at 7:30 p.m.

·         Battle for the Saddle Varsity Football Game Ticket Sales for Friday, October 26 - Pre-sale tickets to the Battle for the Saddle Varsity football game go on sale in the Finance Office beginning Monday, October 22 until Thursday, October 25 from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm.  Ticket Prices:  $6 for Adults, $4 for Students and Senior Citizens.  Tickets are on a cash only basis, no checks or credit cards will be accepted.  El Diamante is NOT the home team for this game; therefore, all ASB stickers and Family passes will NOT be honored at this game.  Wanding will be enforced for all fans at the entrance gate.

·         Outside vendor food deliveries are not accepted by office staff.  If you order food to be delivered, you must sign and/or pay for it on your own.  The office staff is not responsible for deliveries or trying to determine who ordered it. If food delivery is for a club, the adult advisor must pick it up.

·         Attention Miners: Get into the Halloween spirit by buying a gram for your favorite person. Get it from CSF during lunch by the Student Store. Grams are $1 each.

·         Boys' basketball tryouts are from October 29th-Nov 1st. See Coach Guzman in room 309 for any questions.

·         Girls basketball tryouts will be held October 29-31. For more info join the basketball remind by texting @eldmine to 81010.

·         Students interested in taking the ASVAB test; it will take place Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at 8:00 AM in the EDHS Library. This test measures a young adult's strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. This is for grades 10-12 only. Please sign-up in Student Services.

·         Students if you need to request a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Mrs. Springer's room 318 with your transcript. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during homeroom, and during lunch. Please allow 2 school days for processing before picking it up. We will no longer issue Pink Slips in the Student Services office.

·         Scholarship Workshop:  Seniors-Ms. Bitney is hosting an ongoing scholarship workshop on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 605 from 3:30 to 4:30.  This is a great resource for assistance and information about scholarships, so make sure to go by and see her.
