·         Miner Emporium:  Come by the Miner Emporium (student store) and check out the new gear. We have beanies, bucket hats, hoodies and t-shirts with our new logo. Get them while supplies last.

·         The Marines will be on campus on Mondays in the quad area, the Army will be on campus on Tuesdays in front of the Career Center, the Navy will be on campus on Wednesdays in front of the Career Center, and the National Guard will be on campus on Thursdays in the quad area, to answer any questions you may have.

STUDENT NOTES

Old Announcements:

·         Harvest Dance Pictures are in. You can pick them up in the Finance Office before school, at lunch or after school.

·         Boys' basketball tryouts are from October 29th-November 1st in the EDHS Gym. See Coach Guzman in room 309 for times and any questions.

·         Girls Soccer tryouts all week, 10/29-11/2. Meeting on the north end of the soccer/football fields by 3:40.

·         Students: CSU Fullerton will have a representative here on campus to talk about their President's Scholar Program during homeroom this Friday, November 2nd. Sign-up in Student Services.

·         Anyone who is interested in trying out for softball needs to attend our mandatory softball fundraising event at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 5th in the cafeteria. Bring yourself and a charged cell phone for our phone-a-thon kick off. The event will last one hour.

·         Attention Miners: Fall Sports Awards are Monday, November 5th at 6:00pm in the EDHS Gym! Come on out and support our student athletes as we put a close to Fall 2018.

·          Miner's Got Talent Show:  The Miner's Got Talent Show is Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 PM in the theater.  Admission is a $2 donation to the Holiday Food Drive.    Auditions will be Wednesday, November 7th after school in room 601 - sign up for a spot to audition in the Student Services Office. See Mrs. McBride for any questions in room 601.

·         Students and parents who have questions regarding how transferable college coursework affects the class ranking system on their transcript, are invited to come during lunch to discuss their individual situation on Thursday, November 15th at 12:30pm in the Career Center.

·         Students if you need to request a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Mrs. Springer's room 318 with your transcript. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during homeroom, and during lunch. Please allow 2 school days for processing before picking it up. We will no longer issue Pink Slips in the Student Services office.

SENIOR NOTES

·         Seniors: COS will be here next Monday, November 5th for another application workshop if you missed the first one. This will take place during periods 1-4 that day. Sign up in Student Services.

·         ATTENTION SENIORS:  It's almost time for the senior panoramic photo.  Mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 7th during homeroom. Report to your homeroom class first!  Your teacher will escort you to the Gym for the picture. No props, signs, hand gestures, etc.  Please be careful not to block anyone's face from the pictures.  T-shirt designs must adhere to VUSD dress code guidelines.  Anyone not willing to follow these guidelines and those of the photographer and administration will be asked to leave and will not be in the picture.   Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

·         Scholarship Workshop:  Seniors-Ms. Bitney is hosting an ongoing scholarship workshop on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 605 from 3:30 to 4:30.  This is a great resource for assistance and information about scholarships, so make sure to go by and see her.
