*         The Marines will be on campus on Mondays, the Army will be on campus on Tuesdays, and the National Guard will be on campus Thursday's in the quad area during lunch to answer any questions you may have. If you are interested in the Navy or the Air Force, please stop by Student Services so we can set up an appointment for you.

*         There is a mandatory Boys Basketball meeting TODAY at 4:30 PM in the library. At the meeting, you will be meeting the new coach and talking about summer basketball.

New Announcements:

*         If you signed up to audition for Graduation Singer, we have changed the audition date to Wednesday, May 1st immediately after school in Room 704. You will be sent a reminder as we get closer to the audition date.

Old Announcements:

*         Want to play a sport next year???? Sports Physicals will be held @ El Diamante on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019. Pick up a packet from the Nurse or Discipline office. Turn in $2.00 fee with completed packet by this Friday, April 26th to the Nurse. NO LATE SIGNUPS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

*         Attention Class of 2022- If you are interested in running for President of your class for the 2019-2020 school year, applications are available in Student Services and room 601.  They will be due at the end of the day Friday, April 26, 2019.

*         This Friday, April 26th, we will be having our VAPA Rally. The bell schedule for Friday is below:

*         Attention Juniors and Seniors:  THE JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM "A Night on the Magic Carpet" is Saturday, May 11th from 8 - 11 PM at the Visalia Convention Center! Tickets will be on sale starting May 6. Prices are $25 single ticket with ASB; $35 single ticket w/o ASB; $55 single ticket at the door.  If your date to the PROM is not currently a Junior or Senior in VUSD you must have an approved guest pass for them to purchase a ticket.  Guest passes may be picked up in the Student Services Office and must be turned back in to Mrs. Vang by Wednesday, May 8th by 4:00 PM in order to get it approved.  Remember that you must be clear of all fines in order to be eligible to purchase a ticket.

*         Attention Students: Headgear is not allowed. This includes hats, caps, bandanas, sweatbands, hairnets, head bands, do-rags, and beanies. This dress code will be enforced and you will be asked to remove with possible confiscation and parent pick up.

*         Dress Code Reminder: See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, bare midriff, spaghetti straps, off-the-shoulder; excessively short skirts or shorts and low-cut tops are not acceptable. Basketball jersey style tank tops with scooped front and armholes must be worn with a T-shirt. Shirts with cut-off sleeves are not allowed.

*         Students if you need to request a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Mrs. Springer's room 318 with your transcript and pink slip request form. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during homeroom, and during lunch. Please allow 2-3 school days for processing before picking it up. We will no longer issue Pink Slips in the Student Services office.

SENIOR NOTES

*         Attention Graduating Seniors: EL DIAMANTE CLASS OF 2019 FINAL TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS must be made using the online Google form found on the El Diamante website under Student Services/Transcript Request: https://www.vusd.org/Page/16520.  Once you have accepted the college/university you will be attending Fall 2019, please fill out the request form. You must include the COMPLETE MAILING ADDRESS for the college/university you will be attending. Final transcripts will be mailed out the week of June 17, 2019 after grades have posted.

*         Seniors Attending Grad Nite:  As a reminder, you must attend school on Thursday, May 16th in order to be eligible to attend Grad Nite on Friday, 5/17/19.  The only acceptable excuse would be a Doctor's note to clear the absence. All seniors planning to attend Grad Nite must be in their 2nd period class the morning of May 17th.
