You can reserve a book for only $20, with the rest due in May. * Auditions for the Miner Diamond Players' spring production, A Midsummer's Night's Dream, will be held on Friday, February 15th from 4pm-7pm in Room 404. Students will need to prepare a 30-60 second monologue from a comedic play for their initial audition. Any students interested in auditioning should see Mr. Toon in Room 404 for audition tips, dress code requirements, and an audition form by Friday, February 8th. * The new IntraDistrict transfer forms are now available in the registration office. If you plan on attending another High School for the 2019-2020 school year, you must submit one of these forms. The 1st Lottery deadline is on February 9th. The 2nd lottery deadline is on April 15th. You must have an approved IntraDistrict transfer to attend a High School that is not in your home boundary line. * Save the shoes! The PTSA is having a Shoe Drive Fundraiser. We welcome you to go through your closets or hit the clearance racks at the store and bring in gently used or new shoes or boots. We will turn them in for cash. The shoes are then sent on to be refurbished and given to people in need! Our goal is to have 2500 pairs of shoes by March 15. You can drop them off in the office, or save them for the classroom competition in January. Winning class gets a donut/pizza party! * Attention Students: Headgear is not allowed. This includes hats, caps, bandanas, sweatbands, hairnets, head bands, do-rags, and beanies. You can drop them off in the office, or save them for the classroom competition in February. The PTSA and ASB are having a Shoe Drive Fundraiser. We welcome you to go through your closets or hit the clearance racks at the store and bring in gently used or new shoes or boots. We will turn them in for cash. The shoes are then sent on to be refurbished and given to people in need! Our goal is to have 2500 pairs of shoes by March 15th. You can drop them off in the office, or save them for the classroom competition in February. Winning class gets a donut/pizza party! * Students: There will be a College & Career Expo on Friday, March 29th from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM at College of the Sequoias. The College and Career EXPO provides students the opportunity to compete in college and career oriented competitions, spend some time on a college campus, and be recognized for achievements in their chosen field of study. Transportation to this event will be provided. Please sign up in Student Services. * The new IntraDistrict transfer forms are now available in the registration office. If you plan on attending another High School for the 2019-2020 school year, you must submit one of these forms. The 1st Lottery deadline is on February 9th. The 2nd lottery deadline is on April 15th. You must have an approved IntraDistrict transfer to attend a High School that is not in your home boundary line. * Attention Students: Headgear is not allowed. This includes hats, caps, bandanas, sweatbands, hairnets, head bands, do-rags, and beanies. This dress code will be enforced and you will be asked to remove with possible confiscation and parent pick up. * Students if you need to request a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Mrs. Springer's room 318 with your transcript. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during homeroom, and during lunch. Please allow 2-3 school days for processing before picking it up. If you haven't completed the application yet and you would like financial aid for college, get to it ASAP. Go to fafsa.ed.gov. Also, you do not need to submit the Cal Grant GPA verification form-the district submits that information for you. You just need to get the FAFSA done, so get to it! * Seniors: Grad Nite is Friday, May 17th. The cost for Grad Nite is $160, CASH ONLY (includes ticket, lunch prior to departing and transportation cost); tickets will go on sale at 7:30 AM Monday, March 4th - this is the ONLY time you can purchase tickets. You will need to line up to purchase your tickets with the people you want to be on the same bus with. You must present your permission packet to purchase your ticket, students cannot buy for another student. There will be NO BUS CHANGES after you purchase your ticket. In order to purchase your tickets to Grad Nite, you MUST be on track to graduate and make sure to clear all fines through the Finance office and the Library. You will not be admitted to purchase tickets for Grad Nite without a completed Grad Nite Permission packet which includes your parent signatures and signatures from the library and finance office- NO EXCEPTIONS. All students MUST have their IDs present to purchase their Grad Nite ticket. Extra copies of the permission packet are available on the website and in the Student Services Office. Please see Mrs. Vang if you have questions or concerns. * Seniors: If you completed the EDHS local scholarship application; the Miner Foundation Scholarship application is now available to you in Student Services. There will be 20 scholarships at $500 each given to qualified senior students. The applications are due by March 15th, 2019. * Seniors: Cap and Gowns will be delivered to seniors who have placed an order on March 21st during homeroom. If you have not ordered your cap and gown please contact Jostens as soon as possible. Students must check into their homeroom classes before heading into the gym to pick up their cap and gowns.
