Old Announcements:

*         Welcome all to Saturday University. If you are a Senior needing to makeup attendance, then come to Saturday University. Even if you aren't a Senior needing to makeup attendance, please consider coming to Saturday University. The classes are designed to be fun, interactive, and worth your time. You will also have an opportunity to do school work and improve your grades. Come with friends or ask your favorite teacher if they would be willing to teach Saturday University. Plus there's free food! Our next session is Sep. 14 from 8:15am-12:15pm here on campus. Please stop by Mr. Abbott's room 366 to signup or for more information. Hope to see you there!

*         The first meeting for the Ablaze Catholic Club will be Monday, September 16th at lunch in Room 357. Come for information on events this semester as well as fellowship, faith, and free pizza. Please see Mrs. Jacobsma in Room 357 for any questions or the Remind code.

*         Auditions for EDHS Musical 2020 will be held in the Choir Room on Sept 17 & 18 beginning at 5pm. Auditions are open to the entire campus, so everyone is invited to come out and audition!

*         EDHS Academic Award Night for the Spring 2019 semester will be held on September 23rd at 6:00 PM at the LJ Williams Theater.

*         CAL GRANT OPT OUT:  With the implementation of Assembly Bill 2160, California public high schools are required to submit a Cal Grant high school Grade Point Average (GPA) for all graduating seniors, unless the student or parent has opted out of the submission process.  If you do not want El Diamante High School to report a GPA, please pick up the Opt Out Form in the Student Services Office before October 1st.

*         Congressman Nunes' Annual Academy Night is at 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Clovis Unified School District Professional Development Building in Clovis. This evening is for students of all grade levels, along with their parents, to meet representatives from the academies, gather information and learn about academy life and the congressional nomination process.

*         We are inviting 5th to 10th grade students and parents/guardians to Ignite Your Curiosity about the endless career options! Join professionals for conversations about their careers, training needed, and education requirements. Each industry panel will consist of 3-4 professionals. You and your child will choose 3 different panels to visit during the evening. It is going to be held on October 14th, 2019 at 6:00 PM at El Diamante High School. Hope to see you there!

*         The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple choice test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces and is given once a year on the El Diamante High School campus. To take the exam, students must be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. The ASVAB will be administered on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 in the Library from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. *         Applications are being accepted for students seeking a Congressional Nomination to attend a United States Service Academy. For graduating seniors, the Academy Nomination Application must be mailed or hand delivered to Congressman Nunes' Visalia Office by Friday, November 15th 2019.

*         PSAT is available to purchase for $17 at the finance window or on the El Diamante Webstore.

*         The XL Program is up and running! This year's program offerings include, AM & PM Tutoring, Jiu Jitsu, Drama Production, Africana Studies, Computer Programming, and much, much more. As always, snack is free and available to all El Diamante students. Stop by Computer Lab 62 for more information.

*         Students and Parents: Be sure and check out our online newspaper - The Dig - on the front page of El Diamante's web page.

*         If you have purchased an ASB Sticker, you will be notified when they are available for pick up. At the football games, there will be an ASB validation list where you can check in and get the ASB Sticker discount.
