Today:


·         Effective TODAY, March 2nd, 2020 No beanies will be allowed.


·         El Diamante will be hosting Future Miner Night TODAY, March 2nd at 5:30 PM in the El Diamante Gym. We will have information on Registration, Linked Learning Academies, Electives, Co-Curricular Opportunities, Athletics and more. There will also be a campus tour and food vendors to purchase from. ·         Immediately following the Future Miner Night presentation, El Diamante will be hosting an Open House. This will be an opportunity for current parents and students to visit high school classrooms, speak with teachers regarding high school programs and curriculum, tour the campus and ask any clarifying questions you may have.



·         Any students interested in joining the AVID program for the 2020-2021 school year are invited to attend AVID Night with their parents at 6:45 PM TODAY, March 2nd. There will be a short presentation, current AVID students to share their experiences and ice cream.

Old Announcements:


·         2020 Aloha Spring Fling is this Saturday, March 7th in the El Diamante High School Gym from 8 - 11 PM!  If your date to the dance is NOT a VUSD student, you must have an approved guest pass in order for your guest to attend the dance. Guest passes may be picked up in the Student Services Office and must be turned back in to Mrs. Vang no later than Wednesday, March 4th by 3:30 PM in order to get it approved (NO LATE GUEST PASSES WILL BE APPROVED!). Remember you must be clear of all fines in order to be eligible. Dance Tickets go on sale starting TODAY, March 2nd until lunch is over on Friday, March 6th in the Finance Office. Tickets prices are: $10 w/ASB sticker, $20 w/out ASB sticker, and $40 at the door. In addition, you must present a current valid school ID at the door to be admitted to the dance! No exceptions! If you do not have a current ID, please stop by the Finance Office at lunch or after school to purchase one. Appropriate dancing and behavior is expected! Hope to see you there!



·         Attention Junior and Senior students: It's that time of year again! The ANNUAL ENCHANTED EVENING PROM DRESS event will be taking place on Saturday, March 28th at the Wyndham Hotel Back Entrance (Formally known as the Visalia Holiday Inn) at 6:00 AM. You must sign up in the Student Services Office by Tuesday, March 24th, 2019.


·         El Diamante School Marquee messages available to purchase for $50 a week.  Say Happy Birthday or Congratulations to your student.  See the office for details.



·         Students if you need a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Student Services to put in a pink slip request. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during lunch and after school. Please allow 1-2 school days for processing before picking it up.


SENIOR NOTES



·         Attention Senior Miners!!! Mr. Miner applications are available in Student Services. You must have the application turned in by Friday, March 6th by 3:30 PM. Miner Week will begin on March 16th and conclude on March 20th with an assembly and carnival.


·         SENIORS: Grad Nite ticket sales will be here before you know it. Come to the library and check your library/textbook account NOW to verify you are clear. Any student with an outstanding fine will not be able to purchase a ticket for Grad Nite. Turn in those overdue library books, English novels and semester textbooks (Econ & Civics) ASAP.



·         Seniors: Grad Nite is Friday, May 15th, 2020. The destination will be Disneyland and CA Adventures Park. The cost for Grad Nite is $245, CASH ONLY; tickets will go on sale at 7:30 AM on Monday, March 9th, 2020 - this is the ONLY day you can purchase tickets. The ticket is non-refundable! You will need to line up to purchase your tickets with the people you want to be on the same bus with.  There will be NO BUS CHANGES after you purchase your ticket.  Students are not permitted on campus until 7:00 AM - "camping out" is not allowed.  In order to purchase your tickets to Grad Nite, you MUST be on track to graduate, be on track with a 94% attendance rate the week prior to Grad Nite and make sure to clear all fines through the Finance office and the Library.  You will not be admitted to purchase tickets for Grad Nite without a completed Grad Nite Permission packet which includes your parent signatures and signatures from the library and finance office.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Copies of the permission packet will be provide to seniors at the Senior Meeting in February. Afterwards, they will also be available on the EDHS website and in the Student Services Office.
