STUDENT NOTES


Today:


·         In Motion Dance Team auditions will be held TODAY, March 11th and tomorrow, March 12th in the EDHS Dance room starting at 5 PM. Anybody who is interested in trying out can pick up an audition packet in student services or the dance room. Visit Miss Skadan for any questions you may have.



·         If you do not have the opportunity to visit the Lisa Project with your class, permission slips are available for you in the discipline office. You MUST have the permission slip signed by your parent in order to enter the exhibit. The exhibit will be open for you to attend during lunch or during your unscheduled period TODAY, March 11th and tomorrow, March 12th.



New Announcements:


·         Juniors, please work hard on the ELA portion of your CAASPP test, and Seniors do your best on the CAST test. It is important for your teachers that you all do your best and represent El Diamante well. Go Miners!



·         The wind ensemble earned a Unanimous Superior at CMEA festival on Friday. The winter guard won first place at the SVWAA winter guard and percussion show on Saturday.

Old Announcements:



·         Attention Junior and Senior students: It's that time of year again! The ANNUAL ENCHANTED EVENING PROM DRESS event will be taking place on Saturday, March 28th at the Wyndham Hotel Back Entrance (Formally known as the Visalia Holiday Inn) at 6:00 AM. You must sign up in the Student Services Office by Tuesday, March 24th, 2019 in order to participate.



·         Students interested in trying out for next year's cheer teams; packets are available for pick up in the Student Services office. Please read packet details and contact EDHS cheer coach Tracy Beans for any further questions. Packets are due Monday, March 30th, 2020, no later than 4 PM. Late packets will NOT be accepted.


·         El Diamante School Marquee messages available to purchase for $50 a week.  Say Happy Birthday or Congratulations to your student.  See the office for details.



·         Students if you need a DMV Pink Slip, please go to Student Services to put in a pink slip request. You can put in a request to get your Pink Slip before school, during lunch and after school. Please allow 1-2 school days for processing before picking it up.



SENIOR NOTES



·         Attention Seniors! If you are interested in auditioning to be the Graduation Speaker at the El Diamante High School Graduation Ceremony on June 3rd, please sign up in the student services office by Thursday, April 2nd and pick up the guidelines detailing the speech criteria and rubric. You must submit a copy of your speech by Friday, April 17th to Mrs. Vang. Auditions will be at lunch and/or after school in the career center on Tuesday, April 21st. See Mrs. Vang if you have questions.



·         Attention Seniors! If you are interested in auditioning for the musical performance at the El Diamante High School Graduation Ceremony on June 3rd, please sign up in the Student Services Office before Thursday, April 16th. Your lyrics will need to be submitted to Mrs. Vang before audition day. Auditions will be on Thursday, April 30th at lunch and/or after school in room #702. See Mrs. Vang if you have questions.


·         Seniors, the deadline to apply for the $500 PTSA Scholarship is March 31st. Applications are in the Student Services office. If you are a PTSA member, you are eligible to apply!
