VUSD Announces Grab-n-Go Meals Services

New Announcements:

·         Attention Seniors! We will be having our El Diamante Scholarship Awards Night on Monday, May 24th at 6:30 PM at the EDHS Track. If you are one of our scholarship recipients, you should have been notified last week. Please park and enter by the GYM. Due to COVID restrictions, you are only allowed to have 2 guests attend this event with you. Masks are required to enter. Social distancing and 2 guests per recipient will be strictly enforced. Please email Ms. Reynolds<mailto:treynolds at vusd.org> with any questions you may have.


Previous Announcements:

·         Over 40 students competed in a virtual recipe competition titled, "VUSD Bistro di Bufala District-Wide Recipe Competition." The competition was held as part of the District's Food Services and Hospitality Pathway and consisted of 5 categories: Top Beef Choices, Appetizer, Lunch Entrée, and Dessert. Of the 7 possible awards, El Diamante won 5! Congratulations to Brooklyn Montes, Shaylee Mulliniks, Rylee McDaniels, Natalia Martinez, and Morgan Phillipe! Way to go Miners!



·         Hello!  The El Diamante Girls Golf team is looking for players for next year. My name is Mr. Abbott, and I am the Girls Golf coach. If you are interested then please email me (mabbott at vusd.us<mailto:mabbott at vusd.us>) or stop by my room (603) for more information. It's ok if you've never played before! Every year we get brand new players, and we will teach you everything you need to know. We can also provide golf clubs, golf balls, everything you need.

·         ASVAB Test: Due to the pandemic and the campus being closed, we are NOT able to administer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test on site. In order to still take the ASVAB test at the Visalia office location, you MUST:



     *   Be 17 years old and have parent permission

SENIOR NOTES




·         Attention Seniors: If you have not ordered your Cap and Gown, you still have time. You may place your order one of the following ways:

·         Attention Seniors: This message is intended to clarify the end of the year Senior checkout process and update you on Senior Finals. Senior Finals will take place on Thursday, May 27th and Friday, May 28th. Seniors will take their finals in their assigned classes. If you're an in-person learner, you will take your finals in-person. If you're a distance learner, you will take your finals through Zoom or online. If you have an outstanding fine, it must be paid prior to June 2nd at 4 PM to participate in commencement.



     *   Seniors must return their Chromebooks and textbooks on June 2nd or earlier. Please plan to return your items on June 2nd, in-person, following this format:
        *   Seniors Last Names A- H from 8:30-9:30 AM
        *   Seniors Last Names I-Q from 9:30-10:30 AM
        *   Seniors Last Names R- Z from 10:30-11:30 AM



·         CLASS OF 2021 FINAL TRANSCRIPTS: Please use the FINAL TRANSCRIPT FORM<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1A82LpyMWBqIw3X-_3cna3CwytRU3CQf73VtYLg_xSlM/viewform?edit_requested=true> on the EDHS Student Services website to have your FINAL transcript sent to the college/university you will be attending Fall, 2021. This is the school that you have already accepted. Transcripts will be mailed to your chosen school the week of June 14th, 2021 after grades have posted to transcripts. The last day to request your final transcript is June 11th, 2021.



·         Commencement Dress Code: Collared shirt, tie, dress shoes, dress slacks, dress or dressy pants, dress shoes. No flip flops, sandals, Birkenstocks, tennis shoes, shorts, sunglasses, cameras or other distractive accessories. No alterations to cap and gown are allowed!  This will be strictly enforced!  We will all wear our caps and gowns to preserve the dignity of the event.

Students must be enrolled in a certain number of academic courses in High School to qualify at the college level.
