*         Gay Straight Alliance meets TODAY in room 364 at Lunch.

*         Attention Seniors: COS Financial Aid will be hosting another FAFSA/Dream Act Workshop via Zoom in the EDHS Library on Friday, November 12th from 9:30AM-12:30PM. This Google Form will close TODAY, November 9th at 4 PM.

*         Undocumented? Not sure of your Status? A Dreamer? XL will be hosting a workshop TODAY, November 9th @ 4 PM via Zoom. This workshop is a FAFSA workshop for undocumented students to receive help in applying for the CADAA (CA Dream Act Application) for College of the Sequoias. Dieddra Atondo Academic Coach/ grant Lead will for College of the Sequoias will be leading the Zoom Meeting. *         Attention Students: Math Peer Tutoring Sessions are available every Tuesday-Thursday. Come to the Career Center before the homeroom bell rings. Peer tutors can support you to achieve your math goals!

*         We now have weightlifting available in the after-school XL Program. We will be weightlifting from 3:30-4:30 PM after school on Tuesday's and Thursday's. If you would like to learn how to weightlift, or would like to utilize our equipment in the weight room, please join Mrs. Panuco (Miss Emerson) after school on the designated days!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

*         Monday, November 15th through Friday, November 19th there will be a donation drive sponsored by the AVID Club for the Visalia Rescue Mission. Bring items such as socks, travel size products, feminine hygiene products, pasta, sugar, coffee, and canned foods. Donations bins will be located by the attendance office and in Room 605. Help give this giving season!

*         Asian Pacific Islander Club is meeting on Monday the 15th in room 361. Stop by to learn about Asian Pacific Islander culture and issues. Pancakes will be provided.

*         Ready to save a life? The El Diamante High School blood drive is on Thursday, December 2nd at the Visalia Donor center on Caldwell. They will have a special T-shirt and other giveaways for parents and students who donate. As a student donor you need to be at least 16 years of age with parent permission, 110 lbs., and in good health. You will need an ID with their school number on the ID or a California ID or drivers license. Each pint of blood we collect can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. What a great way to pay it forward, make an impact on people in our community, and show those patients in need of blood just how much we can do.

OLD ANNOUNCEMENTS:

*         El Diamante's Annual Talent Show is back on Wednesday, November 10th at 6 PM in the Theater.

*         Make-up Picture Day will take place tomorrow, November 10th from 8:30-10:00 AM in the Library. Please ask your 2nd period teacher for a pass if you need to have your picture taken. *         Attention EDHS Students: There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 11th due to the Veteran's Day Holiday. School will resume on Friday, November 12th. Below is the schedule for the week of November 8th:

*         Attention Students: Please remember to bring your Chromebook to school with you every day.

*         Visalia Unified School District's After-hours Academic Assistance (AAA) will provide after-hours academic support through a virtual platform. This program is available to all VUSD students grades K-12 at no charge, four evenings a week. Homework assistance will be led by certificated VUSD teachers in all grades and mostly all subjects. The AAA program helps students with homework from content previously covered in class. SENIOR NOTES

*         Attention Seniors! It's almost time for the Senior Panoramic Picture.  Mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 10th during homeroom. Report to your homeroom class first!  Your teacher will escort you to the 300 area for the picture. No props, sign hand gestures, etc. Please be careful not to block anyone's face from the pictures. T-shirt designs must adhere to VUSD dress code guidelines. Anyone not willing to follow these guidelines and those of the photographer and administration will be asked to leave and will not be in the picture. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

*         Attention Class of 2022: Mr. Elms, your Learning Director will be available for college application help every Wednesday and Friday in computer lab 61 through Friday, November 19th. *         For all athletes who would like to participate in Track & Field this year we are having voluntary workouts for those who want to get in shape and ahead early. If you have any questions contact Coach Holley at 559-805-1332. Practice will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-5:00 PM. Coach Holley will be on campus every Thursday at Lunch in the Dance Room if you have questions or want to chat. Our current practice schedule will be as follows:
