Good Morning Green Acres!

Students:

Thursday, Oct 5th is PINK day for Breast Cancer Awareness! Get your pink on! Pink hair, pink clothes, pink paint! Leadership will have Pink Pixie Sticks available during lunch for a 50 cents donation to the American Cancer Society! Help fund Cancer research! Be a Charger for Charity and show your PINK heart!                                                                                                                            (10/2-10/5)

CJSF:

CJSF club will be meeting at lunch on Wednesday, October 4th. CJSF members, please go get your lunch and come to room 8 for a meeting about our book drive that's coming up. I am holding a meeting at both lunches. I look forward to seeing you all there! Attention All Students: Would you like to be part of the Green Acres Book Club? Do you love to read? Do you like competition? Do you think reading is a fabulous hobby? Green acres is collecting shirt and hoodie orders starting this week and ending on 10/5. Order your 2017-2018 spirit apparel. Get it now! Apparel orders help fund our school dances as well as other fun activities! Yearbook:
8th grade Parents Yearbook is now accepting student recognition ads.  Currently ¼ page ad is $60 and 1/8 page ad is $45. Ads are a great way to celebrate student success and reflect on the person your student has become. Go to Jostens.com/yearbooks to create your recognition ad today! Last day to submit an ad is 12/9/2017.

Science Trip:
The science department is taking reservations for the trip to the La Brea Tar Pits on Friday Nov. 10, 2017. Spaces are filling up. Please see your science teacher for a flyer. AVID:
Avid shirts can bought for $10 and purchased in Rm22.

Rules to follow:
Students:  School staff will check for dress code every day throughout the day.  DO NOT wear inappropriate clothing.  When in doubt about an item, see an administrator.

Charger Café:
Reimburse Meals are available to All Students at Green Acres M/S during Breakfast & Lunch!
Students, please ask your parents/guardian to put money on your account online-www.MySchoolBucks.com

Some cafeteria tips for faster service:
a.        Memorize your student ID number and say your Full name for Breakfast and at Lunch-DO NOT SHARE IT!!
b.       Students-Please have your Money out of Your backpacks, Wallets and Be Prepared with what you would like to order in the Ala Carte' Line.
c.        When you finish eating, clean up your trash and place plastic bottles & aluminum cans in green recycling containers.
d.       Students will be dismissed by tables when their trash and table are completely clean.
e.        No food will be allowed in the picnic area or anywhere on the main campus.
f.         Express line at the Murphy Center is only for combos, hot food and sandwiches. No a 'la cart!
