Good morning Blazers,  Please see all the attachments! Here are a few of the "NEWER" announcements below:

* BSU (Black Student Union) has a meeting this Friday in K-6 (by the cafeteria) at lunch. For any questions please contact Mr. Luevanos.

* A Representative from San Joaquin Valley College will be on campus, TODAY, Dec. 4, 2019 during Per. 1 in B-1 & Per. 6 in S-5.  SJVC offers accelerated programs that help you to develop skills to enter the workforce and begin a rewarding career.  Career Education programs include:  Business, Criminal Justice, Medical, Computer, Heating and Air Conditioning.   If you are interested in attending please sign up in the Presentation Binder in the Counseling Dept.

* Golden West Choirs will present their annual Winter Concert this Friday, December 6 at 7:00 PM at the L.J. Williams Theater. Come out and hear the choirs and student soloists singing music of the season! Tickets are available the night of the performance at the Box Office beginning at 6:15. Students with ID are $5 each. General admission is $8.

* On Sunday, December 8, The Sequoia Symphony will combine forces with the El Diamante Chamber Signers and Golden West Trailblazer Choir to present the Christmas Portion of George Frederick Handel's beloved oratorio Messiah at 3:00 PM at the historic Fox Theater. The concert will feature the Sequoia Symphony, EDHS and GWHS Choirs, and professional soloists. Tickets are available online from https://www.sequoiasymphonyorchestra.com or https://www.foxvisalia.org/events/

* The Band, Dance, and Orchestra have come together to present a condensed version of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker.  Tickets are $7 General and $5 Senior Citizens, Active Military, VUSD Staff and Students with ID. Tickets will be available at the door. The performance will be held at El Diamante theater with a 2:00 P.M. and a 7:00 P.M. show on December 14th. Please feel free to forward this email along with the attachment to anyone.

* FOR THE LOVE OF ART! - Are you or do you know a high school student artist looking to make $ on their art?  Visalia Education Foundation (VEF) can students sell their art...it's easy and fun!  Check out VEF's website for information on their upcoming art show and sale, For the Love of Art at http://www.visaliaedfoundation.org/. The deadline for submission is Thursday, February 27th, but it's not too early to start thinking about what you'll create!


*         Winter Formal "The Clock Strikes at Midnight" Will be held on Saturday December 7th from 8 - 11 p.m. in the Golden West Gym. Tickets go on sale Monday, December 2nd -Thursday, December 5th
