Good morning Blazers! Here are some of the latest announcements as well as additional information that's in the bulletin. Have a wonderful weekend!




*         Hello Golden West Trailblazers! The Lions Club International is once again hosting their annual speech contest. This year, the topic is, "How Can Kindness Reunite our Country?" This is open to all high school students and you could win up to $21,000. The deadline to submit your interest form is February 2, 2022. All forms must be submitted to Miss Rubio. Please see your counselor for more information.

 * Winter Formal is right around the corner! February 12th from 8:00pm -11:00pm. Portraits begin at 6pm. Tickets will be fifteen dollars and we will be selling them February 7th - 11th at lunch, before school, and after school. Tickets will not be available before school on the seventh. Ticket sales are final. Students participating in the event will be required to complete a COVID 19 test with a negative result to participate. All VUSD students will have access to our COVID cottages for rapid testing on site.

* Valentine's Day Rose Sale:  Want to send a token of love and friendship this Valentine's Day? Want to send something to your significant other? Want to remind your friends how much you care for them? The Golden West Horticulture Department is having a Valentine's Day Rose Sale that starts on Monday Jan. 24 and goes until Friday Feb. 4. You can scan the QR codes that are placed around campus or in your Schoology class! Fill out the form and stop by Ag-3 to make your payment before school, after school or during lunch!

* Did you love SCICON? Are you looking for community service hours? SCICON is looking for MALE counselors for the week of February 28-March 3rd You must be a Junior or Senior and have a 2.0 GPA or higher to attend. Applications can be picked up in the office from Mrs. Martinez before school, during lunch or after school. You must have a 2.0 GPA or higher to attend.
