"About half of participants in one study report that they feel stronger and more energetic after helping others; many also reported feeling calmer and less depressed, with increased feelings of self-worth" This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. There will be a kindness tree located on the North side of the Library, as well as wooden signs on trees encouraging you to engage in Random Acts of Kindness. There will also be some "Pass it On" cards, so keep your eyes open and keep passing those cards around. We will also have dress up days. Tomorrow is "Self-love" Day, so please wear Pink. Thursday is "Stop Bullying" so wear Red like a stop light Friday is Heroes are made every day by doing Random Acts of Kindness, so Dress like a Superhero, or wear your favorite hero t-shirt. There will also be videos each morning, including today (Tuesday). So teachers, please show these videos all week. All applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average, good attendance, good citizenship and have no discipline/incidents records, no referrals, and no detentions. * Fundraiser Yard Sale La Joya will be having a Fundraiser Yard Sale this weekend, Saturday, May 6th from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. It will be held in the cafeteria. Proceeds go to promote positive behavior on campus.
