STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*       EDHS Color Guard
All students interested in participating in color guard at El Diamante next year should attend technique block rehearsals beginning on Monday, April 24th, 2017. Rehearsals will be every Monday/Wednesday from 3:30-5:30. All current 7th and 8th graders, as well as new recruits who are interested in participating are welcome and encouraged to attend. *       EDHS Girl's Water Polo
Anyone 8th grade student who is interested in joining the El Diamante Girl's Water Polo team, please pick up a flyer from the girl's locker room.  Summer session starts June 5th, any questions please contact Coach Young at ryoung at vusd.org
*       Pizza Sales
ASB is selling pizza this Friday, $2 a slice and $1 for water.
EDHS Band
All students planning to be a part of the Marching Miners at El Diamante next year should plan to attend the Miner Picnic on Saturday, May 27th, from 9AM-2PM at EDHS. Visit www.edhsbands.com for more information.
*       2017-2018 WEB Leaders
Attention Prospective WEB Leaders for next year. Applications to be a WEB Leader are available now. If you are interested in being a WEB leader pick up an application in the Pathfinder or Magellan Pod, or the library. Applications are due today, April 28th to Mr. Gridiron in Pathfinder Office. Late applications will not be accepted.
*       Random Acts of Kindness
According to a Stanford study, kindness has shown to cause decreased levels of loneliness and helplessness, and showed an increase in a sense of euphoria, exhilaration, satisfaction, and well-being. We hope you are engaging in Random acts of Kindness. Friday is be a  Hero by showing acts of kindness day, so dress up as your favorite superhero, or wear a superhero shirt.  Friday ASB/Leadership will also have a "Post it On" billboard in the cafeteria. You will have chance to post your Random acts of Kindness you performed this week. Plus, at the rally this Friday, ASB/Leadership will show its kindness by granting wishes to the following people: Alekhya Rajasekaran, Trevin Brandt, Lindsey Bishop, Madalyn Lomanaco, Joey Fiskin, and Robert Rodriguez. So make sure you show up Friday for your wish.
