Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

* Garden Club will meet tomorrow after school.

*Kindness Makes You Happy... and Happiness Makes You Kind" Kindness also makes your day, week, month and years better. Imagine a school where everyone is kind. Doesn't it make you smile (or at least smile in your head)? This week La Joya is participating in a Kindness challenge. You will be given a Kindness Checklist today in 1st period. If you HONESTLY perform at least 25 acts of kindness, you can turn in your checklist to Mr. Gridiron in the Pathfinder Pod and receive 15 PRIDE TICKETS!!!!!! So go out there be happy and be kind!!!!
*Explorers, don't forget to sign up for the next Saturday University on December 2nd. Classes will be board games, basketball, movies, singing lessons, and ELA intervention. Go to the La Joya website to register today!"

*The La Joya AVID Club is selling Gold Canyon candles until November 29th in order to raise money for their college visit to UCLA. Candles are available in 15 difference scents with a burn time of 130 hours. Candles come individually boxed and will be in before Winter break. Candles are 22 dollars and can be purchased with cash or checks made out to La Joya. Please see any of the AVID club members to purchase a candle, any questions see Mr. Cartagena, or Ms. Beggs Thank you for supporting your AVID program!
*Congratulations to Emily Yanez - she has been recognized by the local Visalia Sequoia Kiwanis Club as the fall "Student of the Season"!
