STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Open House
Open House will be tonight, April 5th, from 6 - 7:30 pm.  Students and parents are welcome to visit classrooms (no set bell schedule) and listen to performances by our orchestra, choir and band.  PTSA will also be selling tacos, churros, and drinks.  We hope to see you there.


*CJSF
Attention CJSF members!  Sign-ups for Heart Castle will be tomorrow, April 6th @ 7:45am in Room 101.  Don't delay!

*Band is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*       Dress Code Reminder
As the weather gets warmer, here is a reminder about the Dress Code.  The Visalia Unified School District Student Conduct Code for grades 7-12 reads as follows:  Clothes shall be worn as intended and be sufficient to conceal undergarments which shall be worn and covered at all times.  See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, off-the shoulder and low-cut tops are not acceptable.  Other types of dress that expose bare midriffs or cleavage are prohibited.  Basketball jersey style tank tops with scooped front, back and armholes are only allowed if worn with a T-shirt with sleeves.  Shirts with cut-off sleeves are not allowed.

*Attention students and La Joya staff, PBIS will be having its 4th annual yard sale this Saturday, April 7 from 7am to 2pm in the cafeteria.  Come and check it out, you are all welcome! Proceeds will go to promote positive behavior on campus.


Sports news

The La Joya  Varsity Softball Team defeated Ridgeview, 16-0, on Tuesday. They were led by Pitcher Karlie Bilbrey who pitched a complete game. Collecting hits in the game were - Bilbrey (2 hits); Arianna Ruiz, Jazilyn Vargas, Ryleigh Rush, Maddy Caine,  Lisamarie Rendon, and Samira Gutierrez(2).

Jog-A-Thon for Track at 3:30 (at the track)
