STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*Athletics is selling pizza Friday, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.
*Great News - Due to continued interest, the early registration deadline for the 2019 trip to Washington D.C. & NYC has been extended to April 20, 2018! Come see Ms. Austerman to learn more details about this educational, fun, and life-changing adventure!
*Math Super Bowl
On Wednesday our teams competed in the Tulare County Math Super Bowl.   The following students did an awesome job, and received an award!

* Fun Friday
This Friday we will be having a "Fun Friday" One-Lunch Bell Schedule.  Lunch will be from 11:46am - 12:46pm.   There will be pizza and burritos for sale!   Come on out and enjoy!



Sports news


The La Joya  Varsity Softball Team defeated Valley Oak, 14-0, on Wednesday. They were led by Pitcher Karlie Bilbrey who pitched a complete game. Collecting hits in the game were - Maddy Caine and Bilbrey (3 hits - 2 doubles  and  a single); Arianna Ruiz (2); Jazilyn Vargas, Ryleigh Rush, and Nadine Delgado(1). Defensive standouts were Arianna Ruiz, Bilbrey, and Vargas.


The La Joya  Varsity Softball Team defeated Divisadero, 6-5, on Thursday. They were led by Pitcher Karlie Bilbrey who pitched a complete game. Collecting hits in the game were - Ryleigh Rush and Bilbrey (3 hits ); Arianna Ruiz and Lisamarie Rendon (2); Jazilyn Vargas and Alyssa Lackey (1). Defensive standouts were Emelie Lopez, Arianna Ruiz, Bilbrey, and Vargas.

Baseball and Softball at home vs. Dinuba, release from class at 3:10, game starts at 4:00pm.


Tuesday 4/17

Track is at the Bob Fraley Invitational, at the Hanford High Stadium. Release from class at 2:30, meet starts at 4:00pm.
