STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*1st Semester Finals Schedule
Today is 4th period and 7th period Finals.  Students are out at 12:30 p.m.  Please try to have all appointments scheduled outside these times.  Food served before school and at break only.

*PULSE Program
PULSE is collecting coats for women, kids, men and small children.  Today is the last day to drop off coats to the PULSE program.

*Attention explorers! Financial assistance applications for the DC/NY trip are due by Monday, Dec. 31st!  Please sign up online at www.worldstridesdiscovernow.org<http://www.worldstridesdiscovernow.org>  See Ms. Austerman in Room 407 today if you have any questions!


Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Girls JV Basketball team defeated Divisadero 29-10 at home on Monday and Green Acres 29-19 on Wednesday.  Reyna Soto led the way with 8 points on Monday while Ashley Espino put up 8 points on Wednesday.  The team played tough defense both games.  Way to go girls.  The team's next game will be after the break against Woodrow Wilson.

Congratulations to the La Joya 7th Boys soccer who had a win over Green Akers 4-0 on Wednesday. Goals by Aiden Del Rio, Erick Garcia, Tyler Herring and     Joshua Urista.


Congratulations to varsity boys soccer winning on the road vs green acres 4-2 goals scored by Jesus .ralphie(2 goals) and jasper. Good team work and dedication pays off team . Enjoy your vacation.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year La Joya!


Congratulations to the La Joya JV Girls soccer team who defeated Green Acres 3-0 on Wednesday, here at La Joya. Alisha Vasquez had 6 saves in the goal with no goals allowed and Leila Fernandez had one save. Morgan Philippe had two goals and Keyana Speight scored one goal. Carmen Gaebe had an assist and all girls played outstanding on the field. Great job ladies.
