STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*Attention all 7th grade students.  All registration documents for next year for the 2018-2019 8th grade school year are due on Friday March 16th.  Please stop by the main office if you are in need of a registration form or any applications for electives.  Please see Mr. Waters if you have any questions.  Thank you

*El Diamante Dance Auditions
El Diamante dance auditions are tomorrow, March 15th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the EDHS Dance Room.  Pre-audition workshops are today,  March 13th from 3:45pm to 5:15pm or Wed.   March 14th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the EDHS Dance Room.  Students must attend ONE workshop in order to learn material to audition for dance team.  Packets are due the day of audition on March 15th.

*Garden Club meets today after school.

* ASB is selling pizza on Friday


Sports news

*On Monday, La Joya Varsity Baseball beat Dinuba 12-0; pitching standouts were Henry Vidak who threw 3 scoreless innings. Dylan Philippe also pitched a scoreless inning. Offensive standouts include Bryson Perry and Mikey Ramirez. Defensive standouts consist of Austin Watson and Brody Block.   The next game will be today at Ridgeview.

*The La Joya JV Baseball team won their first game against Washington Intermediate on Monday, March 12th with a score of 7-1. DeAndre Mitchell and John Chavez were great on the mound recording a total of 10 strike outs. Nick Senn led the attack on offense with 3 hits and 1 walk to go along with it.

*The La Joya  Varsity Softball Team defeated Dinuba, 10-0, on Monday. They were led by Pitcher Karlie Bilbrey who pitched a complete game. Collecting hits in the game were - Ryleigh Rush and Arianna Ruiz (2hits - homerun and single each); Bilbrey, Emelie Lopez, Maddy Caine,  and Jazilyn Vargas(2); Alejandra Flores, and Nadine Delgado(1).

*The La Joya 7th Grade Girls Softball team defeated Dinuba 19-8.  Natalie Moreno hit the games first home run, while Calissa Butler-Journey was very effective on the mound.  Great Job Ladies!

Baseball and Softball are at Ridgeview,  release time is 2:45, game time is 4:00.
