STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*Attention all 7th grade students.  All registration documents for next year for the 2018-2019 8th grade school year are due today, March 16th.  Please stop by the main office if you are in need of a registration form or any applications for electives.  Please see Mr. Waters if you have any questions.  Thank you

*The El Diamante AVID applications are due to Mr. Cartagena or Ms. Polk by Wednesday, March 21st.

*Today is the last day to sign up for tomorrow's Saturday University. Have a friend sign up with you and receive 10 Pride Tickets for attending. Students who attend will also be entered in a drawing for a Starbucks gift card. Go to the La Joya website to sign up today!


*The Lincoln Memorial, Mount Vernon, Central Park, Broadway and the 9/11 National Memorial. Those are just a few stops in the 2019 DC/NY trip. Mark your calendar for March 22nd!  This  will be our first parent meeting for the 2019 trip! Start spreading the word! Teachers and staff, you can come too! This will be an awesome experience for everyone!


*Big Brothers/Big Sisters Drive
Attention Explorers!  From March 5th through March 16th, we will be doing a school supplies drive for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization.  This is an amazing organization that matches up kids with adults to be their friend, help them with homework, and be an overall positive influence.  The supplies have to be new and unused.   The first period class with the most supplies wins a donut party.   Don't miss out on this great opportunity to help other kids!

Baseball/Softball Hit-A-Thon @ 3:30pm


Monday 3/19

8th Grade Baseball and ALL Softball teams are at home vs. JFK.  Release time is 3:10pm, game time is 4:00pm.
