Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*Starting Monday, November 26th, students may be able to select a new elective for the beginning of 2nd semester which starts on 1/14/19.  There are currently openings in Choir, Band, Orchestra, and 7th grade AVID.  Students interested in AVID are required to fill out an application.  Applications can be picked up in the main office.  If you are interested in changing your elective, please pick up a schedule change request form from any La Joya office.  Signed forms must be returned to the Main Office by Friday, December 7th.  Requests to change teachers or class periods will not be accepted.

*Pizza Sales
AVID is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*The Visalia Candy Cane parade is tonight.  Come out and see the La Joya marching band perform.... The parade starts at 7 PM and the La Joya band and color guard will be near the end.

*Attention Explorers, there is still space on the 2019 Washington D.C. and New York City Trip! Come see Ms. Austerman in 407 to get information on how to sign up. Time is running out!

*WIN Academy
Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to WIN Academy. You can play board and computer games with Mr. Hefner, sign up with your team to work on your Turning Points in History project with Ms. Austerman, play soccer with Ms. Beggs, get caught up on History with Mr. Saroca, or get caught up in ELA with Mrs. Allen. On top of that, attending helps you makeup an unexcused absence. If you sign up by tomorrow you can have a lunch ordered for you. Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.
