STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*Garden Club meets today after school.
*Interested in joining color guard at El Diamante?  Come to our fall spin clinics and learn dance basics and how to spin! The first clinic will be Wednesday, May 8th at 3:30 in the El Diamante band room and they will continue every Wednesday after. See you there! (This announcement should run from now- or as early as you can add it in- through Wednesday, May 8th.)
*Do you play drums, mallets, or other percussion instruments, or do you want to learn? Come to El Diamante's percussion clinics! The first one is on Thursday, May 9th from 4:30-6:30 in the El Diamante band room and they will continue every Thursday after. See you there! (This announcement should run from now- or as early as you can add it in- through Thursday, May 9th.)
* ASB Officer Application Bulletin
7th graders- Are you interested in becoming a ASB Officer next year? Would you like to be the Activities Commissioner and run the rallies, or how about President or Vice President who do have many responsibilities including making sure the daily bulletin is read to the whole school? There are six available positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Activities Commissioner, and Athletic Commissioner. You must have good grades, satisfactory citizenship, and good attendance. If you would like more information about what it means to be an ASB Officer or how you can run for one of these positions- please pick up an ASB Application Packet in the Pathfinder Office, the Magellan Office, the main Office, or LM3. The applications can be picked up as early as Monday 4-29-2019 and must be returned no later than Thursday May 9th at 3pm in the Pathfinder Office. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Morris in LM3.

*Minimum Day
Monday, May 6th is a Minimum Day, students are released at 1:30pm.

*Attention 7th grade students: We live in a rapidly evolving technological world. Just 9 years ago, there was no such thing as Siri, now artificial intelligence is everywhere. 9 years from now, there will be jobs available that haven't even been created yet due to technological advances. According to the Chicago Tribune, a college education is needed more now than ever to fill the jobs that will be created in the future. If you would like assistance to not only get into college, but graduate; then AVID is for you. Pick up applications in the front office. Applications are due May 10th.

*State Testing Raffle

Congratulations to yesterday's State Testing Raffle winners.  The winner
for the state testing raffle is Josiyah Flores for 7th and Yocelyn Torres
for 8th grade.   Please come to the front office after school to pick up your
reward.  Show your PRIDE and be here every day doing your best for testing
to receive a raffle ticket.

Baseball/Softball Game @ Woodrow Wilson - Release time 2:00pm
Track-practice at 3:30pm


Thursday 5/2

Track League Championship @ Golden West High School- 5:00pm
