STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*Pizza Sales
AVID is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*Presidents' Day
There will be no school on Monday, February 18th in honor of Presidents' Day.

* All the world is a stage and we are its players... So come audition for the school play TOMORROW after school in LM3! If you would like to audition you need to stop by LM3 as soon as possible to pick up your monologue and to schedule an audition appointment with Mr. Morris. We would love to have you join our cast!



SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

On Tuesday the JV boys basketball team defeated Valley Oak, 60-11. Leading La Joya in scoring were Abraham Maciel (14 points), Santana Guijarro (13), Emmanuel Robles (12), Jayden Dillihunt (6), Jayden Lopez (3), and Kevin Baldwin, Alvaro Flores, Isaiah Rivera, Keynen Gomez, Jordan Sanchez, and Connor White (all with 2). The team finished the season undefeated in league, and played a great overall game to close it out. Great job boys! -Coach Harrell.


Congratulations to the JV Girls Soccer team who beat Valley Oak 4-0 on Tuesday. Keyana Speight had two goals, Carmen Gaebe and Daisy Lopez each had one goal. Assists by Carmen, Jaydn Rivas and Beya Villarreal. Laila Fernandez had a save in goal and Alisha Vasquez had three saves. Kaitlyn Padilla and Isabella Struhann each had a defensive save in the back. These girls played hard all season taking 2nd in League, scoring 81 goals against their opponents and only allowing 5 goals scored against them.
