Today is a Finals Bell Schedule

Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


* Finals today are in periods 1, 3 and 7.  Period 5 finals will be tomorrow, June 5th.  Students will be released from school today at 3:13p.m. Students will be released at 12:30p.m. on Wednesday, June 5th, Thursday, June 6th and Friday June 7th.  Starting Wednesday, June 5th through Friday, June 7th, food will be served before school and at break only.

*  8th Grade Students
Promotion practice is this Thursday during 1st period.  Please report to your first period class as usual at 8:20am.  It is important to be on time and to participate in the promotion practice, so you will know what to do at the ceremony on Friday.  If you do not participate in the practice, you will not be able to participate in the ceremony on Friday.

*Attention, if you are in the talent show, there is a mandatory rehearsal tomorrow after school at 12:30. Please see Mr. Harrell in Room 607 for details.

*Choir is selling pizza today, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.
*Dress Code Reminder
As the weather begins to warm, here is a reminder about the Dress Code.  The Visalia Unified School District Student Conduct Code for grades 7-12 reads as follows:  Clothes shall be worn as intended and be sufficient to conceal undergarments which shall be worn and covered at all times.  See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, off-the shoulder and low-cut tops are not acceptable.  Other types of dress that expose bare midriffs or cleavage are prohibited.  Basketball jersey style tank tops with scooped front, back and armholes are only allowed if worn with a T-shirt with sleeves.  Shirts with cut-off sleeves are not allowed. Hoodies, beanies, or any head gear may not be worn within the classroom.  Cell phones must be turned off and out of sight.
*8th Grade students
Please turn in your signed Check Out Form to your 1st period teacher immediately.  The form must be turned in with parent signature, in order for you to leave early on June 7th.

*If you are interested in attending one of the City of Visalia's - Public notice of Community Workshops for Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan, and the Housing Element Update please stop by the main office at La Joya for a flyer with more information.  Flyers will also be available in the Pathfinder and Magellan offices.
