Today is a Fun Friday one lunch bell schedule

Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


* Attention DC/NY 2019 participants! There is a mandatory parent and student meeting in Room 407 at 5:30 PM on March 14th. We will be discussing important details regarding our trip! See Ms. Austerman if you have questions or concerns.

*Time Change
The time change is this coming Sunday, and it's time to "spring" forward.  Please remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

*Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to WIN Academy. You can play board and computer games with Mr. Hefner, play Sports with Mr. Hunt, work on your Anthology Project with Ms. Austerman, or get caught up in ELA with Mrs. Allen. On top of that, attending helps you makeup an unexcused absence. Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.

*Band is selling pizza today, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*Future Miner Night
Attention 8th grade students, Monday March 11th is Future Miner Night at El Diamante High School from 6:00pm to 6:30pm.   There will be a lot of great information, and an opportunity to tour the campus.


*All students and parents interested in the AVID Program at El Diamante High School are invited to attend AVID Night in Room 357 immediately following Future Miner Night on March 11. Meet current AVID students and teachers, and learn about AVID through a short presentation at 7pm. You do not have to be enrolled in AVID currently to attend.


*Attention students, as of Monday, March 4th, since the weather is warming up, you may no longer wear hats at school.  For example, Baseball caps and beanies may not be worn at school.  Thank you.
