Good morning Explorers, let’s remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


• ATTENTION 7TH GRADERS! You can enroll for the 2020 DC/Jamestown/Williamsburg trip! There will be an informational meeting in Room 407 at 5:30 PM on March 28th. Bring your parents to gather information about this exciting opportunity!

•ASB is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.


•Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to WIN Academy. You can play board and computer games with Mr. Hefner, play Sports with Mr. Hunt, work on your Anthology Project with Ms. Austerman, or get caught up in ELA with Ms. Moore.  On top of that, attending helps you make up an unexcused absence. Sign up online by Wednesday at 3:00, and you can have a lunch ordered for you. Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.

•Please remember to turn in all money from the Cookie Dough Fundraiser.

•Cheer Packets
Cheer Packets are now available at EDHS student services offices, and the La Joya front office. Packets are due March 29th at place of pick up.  You must complete a packet in order to try out for the EDHS 2019 - 2020 cheer squads.  No late packets will be accepted.

•EDHS Dance Auditions
There will be a workshop held on Wednesday, March 27th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at EDHS in the Dance Room.  The audition will be held on Thursday, March 28th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the EDHS Dance Room.  Student must attend workshop in order to learn material to audition for dance team.  Students must complete dance packet available in the EDHS Dance Room or EDHS Student Services.  Students need to wear active/dance attire, tan or black jazz shoes, and hair secured out of the face.

•Today is a Minimum Day, students are released at 1:30pm.

•Congratulations to the La Joya Middle School Advanced Band, they went to the CMEA large ensemble Festival on Thursday and received a unanimous superior rating…👏👏👏👏  Way to go Explorers!!!

Home Baseball/Softball Game vs. JFK
Baseball @3:30   Softball @ 4:00.
Track- practice after school from 1:45pm to 3:30pm.

Tuesday 3/19

Track Meet @ Hanford High School- Release time 2:00pm
Baseball/Softball practice at 3:30


Parent ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next PTSA meeting will be held tonight, March 18th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Library.
