STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Our amazing groundskeeper works very hard to make sure that the campus has beautiful flowers, plants, trees.  Please show respect for his efforts by leaving the plants intact, not pulling off their flowers or buds, and staying off the grass.

* Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to Saturday Academy.  Join Ms. Moore to get caught up on your classwork or play some games with Ms. Mederos.    On top of that, attending helps you make up an unexcused absence. Sign up<https://forms.gle/jQGGuRouXhia7md29> through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.


*It is time again for CJSF sign-ups.  It is time for you to show your LJ PRIDE and get recognition for your hard work.  Join the proud who have graduated from La Joya as an Honor Graduate.  In order to be an Honor Grad you must be a member of CJSF for at least 3 of your 4 semesters here at La Joya.  These Sign-Ups are for both 7th and 8th grade students.  Bring your semester report card and $1 due to Ms. Sayre in Room 101 or Mrs. Allen in Room 503 to see if you qualify to be a member of this prestigious society.  Sign-ups will begin tomorrow, January 24thand will run for one week only so don't delay!!




Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday 1/23

Wrestling Match @ Green Acres @ 4:00pm (release time 2:35pm).
Basketball/soccer practice after school 3:30pm.

Friday 1/24

8th grade girls host the Winter Showcase Basketball Classic. Tournament games begin at 3:30pm. La Joya will be playing at 3:30pm vs. Burton Middle School. Please release 8th grade girls basketball at 3:00pm

The next PTSA meeting will be held on Monday, January 27th at 5:30pm in the Library.
