?  Dress code reminder:  Baseball hats and beanies are not to be worn on campus.  If you have one, please put it in your backpack or in your locker.  These should not be viewable to staff.  See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, off-the-shoulder and low cut tops are not acceptable. Other types of dress that expose bare midriffs or cleavage are prohibited.

1. Are you looking for an elective class? Come by B-27 and find out what Drama has to offer! It doesn't matter if you are shy and quiet, or extremely outgoing, Drama may be the class for you! Stop by B-27 for more info!

2. ID Cards- Returning students who did NOT get an ID at Pioneer Day or Freshman Orientation will get their ID during picture make ups on September 26th.

3. Picture Retakes are scheduled for September 26, 2017 - Grades 9-11 in the Visitors Team Room,    8:00am-12:00pm.

4. Mt. Whitney Students! Auditions to be the Pioneer Report Anchor, Mt. Whitney's own monthly news show, will be held TODAY September 6th. Go to room B-204 and speak with Ms. Delgado for more information and to pick up an audition script.

5. Do you want to get into Home Games for Free? And get major discounts on dance tickets? Buy an ASB sticker for $30 and save money. ASB stickers are now being sold in the Finance office. They will be sold all year long.

6. Students interested in taking the PSAT, please see Mr. Turney in the counseling office before school, during lunch, or after school. The test cost $16 and fee waivers are available for Juniors only.

7. Visalia Parks & Recreation has a special event coming up- September 14th Annual Visalia Teen Idol competition being held at the Redwood High School LJ Williams Theater.  This event will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 6PM!  Come out and support the Visalia youth, you do not want to miss this event! Pre-sale tickets can now be purchased at the Anthony Community Center for only $7!  For more information call 713-4069

8. CSF members who qualify for at least 4 semesters in high school will earn Life Membership, front row seats at graduation, gold cords, a gold tassel and the honor of attending a luncheon at the Convention Center during your senior year.
9. Do you want free donuts and the chance to be on TV? If so come to our early morning Homecoming Rally on Friday September 22 from 5-7 am. Doors will open at 4:15am. Admin will be providing donuts. The whole rally will be televised by channel 47, and we need as many people as we can to come to show that MWHS is the best school in town, as El Diamante will also be televised that morning as well. Wear maroon, and come ready to show your school spirit. Hope to see you there.
10. Show your school sport and dress up during Homecoming week- September 18-22nd. The theme this year is "Home Sweet Homecoming" and the dress up days are as follows:

Monday- Double Bubble Day (twin day)

Tuesday- Sweet Dreams (Pajama day)

Wednesday- Smarties Day (Dress like a nerd)

Thursday- Payday (Dress up as your future career)

Friday- Spirit Day

SPORTS BULLETIN

Aug. 31

Great job to singles players Kassandra Sanchez and Montse Perrera and the doubles team of Sheilah Jones and Kellsi Medeiros for defeating their El Diamante opponents on Tuesday night.  Also, congratulations to the JV girls team for defeating El Diamante 3-2, with singles wins from Anika  Morales and Summer Sills, and a doubles win from the team of Miranda Watters and Chelsea Cordova.

Congratulations to the JV volleyball team for defeating Kingsburg.  Stand out players were Brianna Martinez: 5 kills, 3 Aces, Ellie Applegate: 7 Assists, 4 kills, and Celine Huerta: 33 digs.

Girls Soccer will have a mandatory meeting for all girls interested in playing this year today at 3:45pm in the P.E. classroom.  Anyone playing a fall sport please stop by and sign in first.  Training will begin on Sept. 5, Tuesday thru Thursday from 4 to 5:00pm.

Boys soccer will be practicing on the freshman baseball field on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00pm.

Attention any athlete that is hoping to continue playing in college.  You must be registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse in order to participate as a student-athlete in College.  Please see Mrs. Hernandez in the Counseling Office if you have not registered or have questions.

Attention girls tennis players, the match vs. El Diamante on Sept. 20 will now be played at El Diamante.

The girls golf match vs. Sanger on Friday, Sept. 1 has been postponed.

The girls tennis match today vs. CVC will be played at 6:00pm.

The Freshmen football game will start at 6:00pm tonight at Tulare Western.  The JV football game will start at 6:00pm and the Varsity game at 8:00pm on Friday night at Bob Mathias Stadium.

Teachers, there are no early outs for girls tennis, report to courts at 5:00pm.  There are no early outs for volleyball for today's home match vs. Tulare Western, Frosh-Soph, please report to the gym immediately after school. There are no early outs for Frosh Football, the bus will leave for Tulare Western at 4:15.  For Friday, Sept. 1 please excuse the girls varsity water polo team at 9:30am, the bus will leave at 9:45am for Clovis, and the varsity volleyball team at 10:30am, the bus will leave for Clovis at 10:45am.  There are no early outs for football and cheer.  The JV bus will leave for Bob Mathias Stadium at 4:15 and the Varsity bus will leave at 5:30. For Cheer the bus will leave at 5:00.    Thank you and good luck to all our student-athletes.

1. Calling all Key Clubbers!  Come to our first meeting on Tomorrow, September 6th in B25 at 12:50 and see what Key Club is all about.  We will have some fantastic volunteer opportunities this year!  Can't wait to meet you all!

1.   SENIOR PICTURES TOMORROW! If you have not signed up to have your senior picture taken by Essence Photography, please come to Room B-207 ASAP and get an appointment time for TOMORROW, September 6th or Thursday, September 7th. We would like to get our ENTIRE CLASS of 2018 in this year's yearbook and these are the only two days they will be on campus! The session is FREE if you just want your picture in the yearbook; however you are more than welcome to purchase any of your photos from Essence. Please make the effort to get this done!
