?  Dress code reminder:  Baseball hats and beanies are not to be worn on campus.  If you have one, please put it in your backpack or in your locker.  These should not be viewable to staff.  See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps and low cut tops are not acceptable. Any types of dress that expose bare midriffs or cleavage are prohibited.  The Rules will be enforced.

1. Are you looking for an elective class? Come by B-27 and find out what Drama has to offer! It doesn't matter if you are shy and quiet, or extremely outgoing, Drama may be the class for you! Stop by B-27 for more info!

2. Fall Play Auditions start Tuesday, September 12th.  Stop by the Drama Room to pick up an audition packet.

3. ID Cards- Returning students who did NOT get an ID at Pioneer Day or Freshman Orientation will get their ID during picture make ups on September 26th.

4. Picture Retakes are scheduled for September 26, 2017 - Grades 9-11 in the Visitors Team Room,    8:00am-12:00pm.
5. Do you want to get into Home Games for Free? And get major discounts on dance tickets? Buy an ASB sticker for $30 and save money. ASB stickers are now being sold in the Finance office. They will be sold all year long.

6. Students interested in taking the PSAT, please see Mr. Turney in the counseling office before school, during lunch, or after school. The test cost $16 and fee waivers are available for Juniors only.

8. CSF members who qualify for at least 4 semesters in high school will earn Life Membership, front row seats at graduation, gold cords, a gold tassel and the honor of attending a luncheon at the Convention Center during your senior year.
9. Do you want free donuts and the chance to be on TV? If so come to our early morning Homecoming Rally on Friday September 22 from 5-7 am. Doors will open at 4:15am. Admin will be providing donuts. The whole rally will be televised by channel 47, and we need as many people as we can to come to show that MWHS is the best school in town, as El Diamante will also be televised that morning as well. Wear maroon, and come ready to show your school spirit. Hope to see you there.
10. Show your school sport and dress up during Homecoming week- September 18-22nd. The theme this year is "Home Sweet Homecoming" and the dress up days are as follows:

Monday- Double Bubble Day (twin day)

Tuesday- Sweet Dreams (Pajama day)

Wednesday- Smarties Day (Dress like a nerd)

Thursday- Payday (Dress up as your future career)

Friday- Spirit Day

SPORTS BULLETIN

Sept. 7

Attention all Baseball Players, if you are not playing a fall sport, Fall Ball practice starts today, September 7th at 4:30 on the Varsity Baseball Field.  Also, reminder to all Valley Championships baseball players, the Valley Championship ring presentation will be this Friday, Sept. 8 at Halftime of the varsity football game.

Attention all students who are interested in wrestling: Practices are Tuesdays and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 in the wrestling room.   Attention female wrestlers, in two short seasons Mt. Whitney's Girls Wrestling program has produced multiple valley placers, two state qualifiers and one national placer. If you are interested in becoming part of this up and coming program, please see Coach Meza in room K12 for more information.  Practices are same time. No experience needed.

Girls Soccer training, Tuesday thru Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30pm on the freshman baseball field.

Attention anyone interested in girls' basketball there will be a mandatory meeting in U-3 on Monday, September 11 at lunch.  Bring your lunch, and come meet the coaches and pick up a preseason schedule.  Also, if you played in summer league over the summer and still have a jersey, please turn it in to Coach Lopez in U-3 by Friday September 15th or you will be fined.  See Coach Lopez in U-3 if you have any questions.

Attention any athlete that is hoping to continue playing in college.  You must be registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse in order to participate as a student-athlete in College.  Please see Mrs. Hernandez in the Counseling Office if you have not registered or have questions

Reminder all student-athletes, you must attend every class period on game dates or you will not be allowed to play on that day

Team picture dates:  Girls Tennis, Monday, Sept. 25; Volleyball, Thursday, Sept. 28; Boys and girls cross country, Friday, Sept. 29; Boys and girls water polo, Thursday, Oct. 12. Girls Golf, TBD, and

Teachers, please excuse the volleyball teams today at 2:15, the bus will leave for Sanger at 2:30; the girls tennis team today at 2:15, the bus will leave at 2:30 for Hanford West, and the Boys varsity water polo team today at 2:15, the suburban/van will leave for Tulare Union at 2:30.  There are no early outs for Frosh Football.  For Friday, Sept. 8, please excuse the girls varsity tennis all day, the bus will leave at 7:00am for Fresno City College; the JV girls water polo team at 2:45, the bus will leave for Golden West at 3:00, and the JV football team at 2:45.  There are no early outs for the Varsity football team.  Thank you and good luck to all our student-athletes.

Club Notes

1.   Attention FFA members- Come out to our monthly FFA meeting on Thursday, September 21st at 4:00PM in the cafeteria.  We will have food and ice breakers.  Hope to see you there!

2.   PLS (The Poetry Club) will meet next Tuesday, September 12th in J-5 during lunch

3.   GSA- The GSA will meet this Thursday at lunch in J-14.  All are welcome!
