?  Students who arrive to school after the tardy bell 1st period and the gate is locked will be assigned one day lunch detention that day in B24.  IDs will be collected in the office.  When the student goes to detention that day, the ID will be returned to them at the end of the detention.   Also, ALL students who are not in the gate when the tardy bell rings 5th period will have their off campus privileges revoked for one week. Student IDs will be collected at the gate and returned after school.

1. XL is serving a Super Snack after school in room S-11. All students are welcome to stop by and get a fresh healthy meal.




2. Open computer lab is on Wednesdays from 3:15 to 5:00pm. Need to take online test, fill out college applications, or FAFSA?  Come on by this Wednesday after school.
3. Juniors and Seniors interested in taking the ASVAB, sign-ups are in the counseling office before school, during lunch or after school. The test will take place November 7th.
4. Academy of Health Sciences is looking for 3 seniors who are 18+ to volunteer for "The Source's" Repelling Event on November 9th & 10th. Volunteers are trained in repelling, attend a banquette, receive a t-shirt and lunch for their time. If interested please see Mr. Perrotta in H-5.
5. Attention Seniors XL is taking a trip to UC Santa Cruz On Wednesday, November 28th with Golden West High School XL program. If you are interested in applying to UC Santa Cruz, we encourage you to attend this field trip. Applications are available after school in the XL room.  Requirements for this field trip are:  Minimum 3.4 GPA, Seniors ONLY, No current failing grade.  Attend a Mandatory Informational meeting on Thursday, November 15th @ 3:30 pm in room S-11
6. Attention Juniors and Seniors- In need of community service hours?  Volunteer for the Conyer Elementary Book Fair. The book fair will be from 11/8-11/15 (weekdays) throughout the day.  Please sign up in the counseling office if you are interested, space is limited.
7.  The API PACT Program is looking for students interested in advocating for a healthier community.  Training, fun activities, and an opportunity to attend youth summits are all part of this community outreach program.  Come join us this Thursday after school in room H-5 if you are interested.

4.     PLS (the poetry club) will meet Tuesday at lunch in J-5.



5.     Medical Careers Club Meeting on WEDNESDAY 11/14/18 at 1:00 in U-3.  We will discuss our Christmas Project.

4. Academy of Health Sciences is looking for 3 seniors who are 18+ to volunteer for "The Source's" Repelling Event on November 9th & 10th. Volunteers are trained in repelling, attend a banquette, receive a t-shirt and lunch for their time. If interested please see Mr. Perrotta in H-5.
5. Attention Seniors XL is taking a trip to UC Santa Cruz On Wednesday, November 28th with Golden West High School XL program. If you are interested in applying to UC Santa Cruz, we encourage you to attend this field trip. Applications are available after school in the XL room.  Requirements for this field trip are:  Minimum 3.4 GPA, Seniors ONLY, No current failing grade.  Attend a Mandatory Informational meeting on Thursday, November 15th @ 3:30 pm in room S-11
6. Attention Juniors and Seniors- In need of community service hours?  Volunteer for the Conyer Elementary Book Fair. The book fair will be from 11/8-11/15 (weekdays) throughout the day.  Please sign up in the counseling office if you are interested, space is limited.
7.  The API PACT Program is looking for students interested in advocating for a healthier community.  Training, fun activities, and an opportunity to attend youth summits are all part of this community outreach program.  Come join us this Thursday after school in room H-5 if you are interested.

3. Attention Seniors XL is taking a trip to UC Santa Cruz On Wednesday, November 28th with Golden West High School XL program. If you are interested in applying to UC Santa Cruz, we encourage you to attend this field trip. Applications are available after school in the XL room.  Requirements for this field trip are:  Minimum 3.4 GPA, Seniors ONLY, No current failing grade.  Attend a Mandatory Informational meeting TODAY @ 3:30 pm in room S-11

6. Help Save a life and Donate Blood. The Fall Semester Blood Drive will take place on Monday December 10th from 12:30-3:30. Signs ups are coming soon!
7. Kindness Week is November 13-16- Show Pioneer Pride by Being Kind and joining in on the Kindness activities. Come out at lunch to write a staff shout out thank you card, and come Friday at lunch to the quad to play games. Kindness matters!
8. Wrestling Season has begun. Anyone interested to join can still come by and see Coach Meza in K-12.

?  Students who arrive to school after the tardy bell 1st period and the gate is locked will be assigned one day lunch detention that day in B24.  IDs will be collected in the office.  When the student goes to detention that day, the ID will be returned to them at the end of the detention.   Also, ALL students who are not in the gate when the tardy bell rings 5th period will have their off campus privileges revoked for one week. Student IDs will be collected at the gate and returned after school.

3. Help Save a life and Donate Blood. The Fall Semester Blood Drive will take place on Monday December 10th from 12:30-3:30. Signs ups are coming soon!
4. Wrestling Season has begun. Anyone interested to join can still come by and see Coach Meza in K-12.
5.  All students sent to the Library must have a pass from your teacher and a student ID in order to check out materials. Many students are using copies of schedules or post-its. Please do not go to counseling and request a copy of your schedule as it will not suffice in the check-out process. It is your responsibility to carry your student ID. Replacement IDs are $10 in the Counseling Office.  Please see Mrs. Herrera.  Thank you, MWHS Library Staff
6. Winter Formal is on December 8th at El Diamante HS: the theme is Under the City Lights. You must obtain a clearance form from the Library before you will be able to purchase your ticket.  You can purchase tickets at the finance office Dec 4th thru Dec 7th.  Tickets stop after lunch on Dec 7th. Single Tickets are $20 with an ASB embossment, $30 without embossment, and $50 at the door. If you're date attends a school from outside of Visalia Unified, please see Mrs. Reyes for a guest pass.  Guest passes are due by Wednesdays, December 5th.  Hope to see you there!

3. Help Save a life and Donate Blood. The Fall Semester Blood Drive will take place on Monday December 10th from 12:30-3:30. Signs ups are coming soon!
4. Wrestling Season has begun. Anyone interested to join can still come by and see Coach Meza in K-12.
5.  All students sent to the Library must have a pass from your teacher and a student ID in order to check out materials. Many students are using copies of schedules or post-its. Please do not go to counseling and request a copy of your schedule as it will not suffice in the check-out process. It is your responsibility to carry your student ID. Replacement IDs are $10 in the Counseling Office.  Please see Mrs. Herrera.  Thank you, MWHS Library Staff
6. Winter Formal is on December 8th at El Diamante HS: the theme is Under the City Lights. You must obtain a clearance form from the Library before you will be able to purchase your ticket.  You can purchase tickets at the finance office Dec 4th thru Dec 7th.  Tickets stop after lunch on Dec 7th. Single Tickets are $20 with an ASB embossment, $30 without embossment, and $50 at the door. If you're date attends a school from outside of Visalia Unified, please see Mrs. Reyes for a guest pass.  Guest passes are due by Wednesday, December 5th.  Hope to see you there!
7. On Monday December 10th, MWHS will be holding its biannual blood drive in the blood mobile by the Amaral building. The blood drive will be held from 12:30-3:30. Our goal is to raise 90 pints of blood!   We are asking staff, faculty, students,  and to come out and support this great cause.  If you are an athlete currently playing a sport you cannot donate, but we are challenging you to get two people to donate in your place. To participate, pick up a blood drive packet from the front office, or in k-5 and see Mrs. Naylor to sign up for a time by Friday December 7th. The day of the blood drive make sure to eat a food meal, and drink water.  The California Blood Center is in dire need of blood. Come out and donate, you can help save a life!
8. Hey Mt Whitney, Let's get into the Holiday Spirit!  You can help make Christmas a little brighter for children in the hospital by donating new coloring books, crayons and crafts for the Pediatric patients at Kaweah Delta Hospital. Also, ALL students who are not in the gate when the tardy bell rings 5th period will have their off campus privileges revoked for one week. Student IDs will be collected at the gate and returned after school.

1. XL is serving a Super Snack after school in room S-11. All students are welcome to stop by and get a fresh healthy meal.

2. Please throw away your trash after morning breakfast and lunch.  Make the effort in keeping your campus clean.  Thank you Pioneers
3.  All students sent to the Library must have a pass from your teacher and a student ID in order to check out materials. Many students are using copies of schedules or post-its. Please do not go to counseling and request a copy of your schedule as it will not suffice in the check-out process. It is your responsibility to carry your student ID. Replacement IDs are $10 in the Counseling Office.  Please see Mrs. Herrera.  Thank you, MWHS Library Staff
4. Winter Formal is on December 8th at El Diamante HS: the theme is Under the City Lights. You must obtain a clearance form from the Library before you will be able to purchase your ticket.  You can purchase tickets at the finance office Dec 4th thru Dec 7th.  Tickets stop after lunch on Dec 7th. Single Tickets are $20 with an ASB embossment, $30 without embossment, and $50 at the door. If you're date attends a school from outside of Visalia Unified, please see Mrs. Reyes for a guest pass.  Guest passes are due by Wednesday, December 5th.  Hope to see you there!
5. On Monday December 10th, MWHS will be holding its biannual blood drive in the blood mobile by the Amaral building. The blood drive will be held from 12:30-3:30. Our goal is to raise 90 pints of blood!   We are asking staff, faculty, students, and to come out and support this great cause.  If you are an athlete currently playing a sport you cannot donate, but we are challenging you to get two people to donate in your place. To participate, pick up a blood drive packet from the front office, or in k-5 and see Mrs. Naylor to sign up for a time by Friday December 7th. The day of the blood drive make sure to eat a food meal, and drink water.  The California Blood Center is in dire need of blood. Come out and donate, you can help save a life!
6. Hey Mt Whitney, Let's get into the Holiday Spirit!  You can help make Christmas a little brighter for children in the hospital by donating new coloring books, crayons and crafts for the Pediatric patients at Kaweah Delta Hospital.  Drop off your new donations in the Attendance Office, Nurse's Office or in U-3 any time before finals.

4. Winter Formal is on December 8th at El Diamante HS: the theme is Under the City Lights. You must obtain a clearance form from the Library before you will be able to purchase your ticket.  You can purchase tickets at the finance office Dec 4th thru Dec 7th.  Tickets stop after lunch on Dec 7th. Single Tickets are $20 with an ASB embossment, $30 without embossment, and $50 at the door. If you're date attends a school from outside of Visalia Unified, please see Mrs. Reyes for a guest pass.  Guest passes are due by Wednesday, December 5th.  Hope to see you there!
5. On Monday December 10th, MWHS will be holding its biannual blood drive in the blood mobile by the Amaral building. The blood drive will be held from 12:30-3:30. Our goal is to raise 90 pints of blood!   We are asking staff, faculty, students, and to come out and support this great cause.  If you are an athlete currently playing a sport you cannot donate, but we are challenging you to get two people to donate in your place. To participate, pick up a blood drive packet from the front office, or in k-5 and see Mrs. Naylor to sign up for a time by Friday December 7th. The day of the blood drive make sure to eat a food meal, and drink water.  The California Blood Center is in dire need of blood. Come out and donate, you can help save a life!
6. Hey Mt Whitney, Let's get into the Holiday Spirit!  You can help make Christmas a little brighter for children in the hospital by donating new coloring books, crayons and crafts for the Pediatric patients at Kaweah Delta Hospital.  Drop off your new donations in the Attendance Office, Nurse's Office or in U-3 any time before finals.
