?  Attention Bike Riders:  please lock your bikes each day INSIDE the bike rack.  Please do not park them on the outside of the bike rack area.  Thank you.

?  Attention Students:

?  Students who arrive to school after the tardy bell 1st period and the gate is locked will be assigned one day lunch detention that day in B24.  IDs will be collected in the office.  When the student goes to detention that day, the ID will be returned to them at the end of the detention.   Also, ALL students who are not in the gate when the tardy bell rings 5th period will have their off campus privileges revoked for one week. Student IDs will be collected at the gate and returned after school.

1. XL is serving a Super Snack after school in room S-11. All students are welcome to stop by and get a fresh healthy meal.

2. Open computer lab is on Wednesdays from 3:15 to 5:00pm. Need to take online test, fill out college applications, or FAFSA?  Come on by Wednesday after school.
3. Academy of Health Sciences is looking for 3 seniors who are 18+ to volunteer for "The Source's" Repelling Event TODAY & 10th. Volunteers are trained in repelling, attend a banquette, receive a t-shirt and lunch for their time. If interested please see Mr. Perrotta in H-5.
4. Attention Seniors XL is taking a trip to UC Santa Cruz On Wednesday, November 28th with Golden West High School XL program. If you are interested in applying to UC Santa Cruz, we encourage you to attend this field trip. Applications are available after school in the XL room.  Requirements for this field trip are:  Minimum 3.4 GPA, Seniors ONLY, No current failing grade.  Attend a Mandatory Informational meeting on Thursday, November 15th @ 3:30 pm in room S-11
5. Attention Juniors and Seniors- In need of community service hours?  Volunteer for the Conyer Elementary Book Fair. The book fair will be from Nov. 8-Nov. 15 (weekdays) throughout the day.  Please sign up in the counseling office if you are interested, space is limited.
6. Please throw away your trash after morning breakfast and lunch.  Make the effort in keeping your campus clean.  Thank you Pioneers
7. Due to changes in how GPA will be calculated for students taking a COS class, a district representative will be available to answer questions TODAY during lunch in the counseling office. If you have questions, please plan to attend the quick meeting.
8. Help Save a life and Donate Blood. The Fall Semester Blood Drive will take place on Monday December 10th from 8:30-11:30. Signs ups are coming soon!
9. Kindness Week is November 12-16- Show Pioneer Pride by Being Kind and joining in on the Kindness activities. Come out at lunch to write a staff shout out thank you card, and come Friday at lunch to the quad to play games. Kindness matters!
10. Wrestling Season has begun. Anyone interested to join can still come by and see Coach Meza in K-12.

Club Notes

1.      Anime Club meeting every Wednesday in J-12 and your passions do matter!

2.     The Gay/Straight Alliance will continue to meet Wednesdays in J-14. Stop by and bring a friend.

3.     Club Notes: The Intersectional Feminist Club meets every Monday at lunch in K7. Join us and bring a friend!

4.     Medical Careers Club Meeting on WEDNESDAY 11/14/18 at 1:00 in U-3.  We will discuss our Christmas Project.

5.     The following club pictures will be taken next week during lunch.  Please meet at the Oak Tree at 12:45pm:

1.     Seniors-Come by the counseling office during lunch or before/after school to sign up for college visits.

2.     College of the Sequoias will be on campus once a month to answer questions and help with applications. You can sign up in the counseling office if you wish to be called out.

3.     We will have a CSU Application Workshop TODAY at 8:30 am. If you are applying to any CSU campus for next Fall, please sign up for this workshop. You will work on computers and will provide help in filling out your applications and double check them for you before you send them off.  For questions. See Mrs. Sarabian.

4.     Attention all students, XL is hosting a UC Essay Workshop TODAY in the Library after school from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Are you a senior currently working on your UC application and not sure where to start? Need more help? If so XL College and Career Ambassador has partnering up with Mrs. Bullick to provide you with extra support in writing your UC application. Please take advantage of this workshop. Sign-ups are going to be available in the library all week long.

1.     Seniors! The Mt. Whitney Scholarship Application is now available. Please check your school email for more details.

2.      Mt. Whitney High School students can apply for the College of the Sequoias 2019-2020 Scholarship Application by going to cos.edu/scholarships<http://www.cos.edu/FinancialAid/GrantsLoans/Scholarships/Pages/default.aspx> .The deadline to apply is November 26, 2018.
