1. Attention all Pioneer students, XL afterschool programs have begun. This fall semester XL is offering 3D printing , Jiu Jitsu, Video Production, Hip Hop Class, Outdoor Club , Mock Trail , PM Weightlifting , AM and PM Tutoring , English Language Assistance

2. XL is serving a Super Snack after school in room S-11. All students are welcome to stop by and get a fresh healthy meal.


3. Join the newly formed History Club for a meeting on TODAY during lunch in room K-6

4.  Friday, Sept. 7th, dress in yellow for this week's home football game theme, Bright Out.  Deck out in all yellow head to toe to show school spirit and to spread awareness for Child Cancer Awareness Month.

5. Attention Juniors & Seniors:   We are still in need of three male Scicon counselors for Mtn. View Elementary September 24th-28th. See Mrs. Reyes in the front office if interested.  It will only be for 4 days. Please make sure you meet the criteria. We are looking for students with good attendance, a GPA of 2.5 or higher, someone who can be a great leader and a role model.

Club Notes

1.       Attention all prospective CSF Members:  CSF rush week is THIS week, Sept 4th through the 7th.  You only have this one opportunity to sign up for this semester.  Find your last report card or get a print-out of your transcripts and grab an application during Club Rush on Wednesday or from Room I-9 or the Counseling Office.  You can then bring those plus $5 dues to I-9 before school or at lunch next week to sign up.  Four semesters of membership are needed for Sealbearer status: front row seats at graduation, gold cords and tassel, special notation on your transcript and a luncheon given in your honor during your senior year.  Show pride in your academic accomplishments and become a CSF member!





2.       Attention Club Advisors and Varsity Coaches- Google forms have been sent for Homecoming nominations.  It will be open until September 13th.



3.       Join the new club, Intersectional Feminist Club, if you're interested in social and political equality for all. The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 11, at lunch in K7.



4.       Attention all prospective CSF members:  This is the ONLY week you can become a member of CSF for this semester.  Sign-ups are before school and at lunch only.  Come by I-9 during those times with an application, a transcript or report card from last semester, and $5 dues.  Work your way toward Sealbearer status by signing up this semester. If you are a good students and don't know what CSF is, come by I-9 and talk to Miss Domena.  Don't miss out!



5.       CSF seniors in need of service points:  sign up to work CSF rush week to earn service points.  One service point per slot worked.



6.       PLS (the poetry club) will meet Tuesday in J-5 at lunch.



7.      The Gay-Straight Alliance will meet Wednesday at lunch in J-14.  All the cool people need to be there



8.      French Club will be having our first meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11th in H-6 at 12:45 and we will be voting on Homecoming nominees.  Hope to see you there

1.     SENIOR PICTURES ARE TODAY THROUGH LUNCH ONLY! Your senior picture MUST be taken by Essence Photography for it to appear in the yearbook. They will be on in the team room on the back side of the gym THROUGH LUNCH TODAY ONLY. You DO NOT NEED AN APPOINTMENT, just get there before lunch is over and they will fit you in. Thank you.


2. XL is going to the Tulare County College Night on Tuesday, September 11th. If you are interested in catching a ride on the bus please sign up in room S-11. Limited spaces are available so don't wait too long to sign up. You will have the opportunity to meet representatives from over 90 colleges, universities, and specialty school to learn more about their campus and educational programs. There will be valuable information sessions on College and University admission, Financial Aid and Scholarship opportunities
