?  Attention Students:

?  Students who arrive to school after the tardy bell 1st period and the gate is locked will be assigned one day lunch detention that day in B24.  IDs will be collected in the office.  When the student goes to detention that day, the ID will be returned to them at the end of the detention.   Also, ALL students who are not in the gate when the tardy bell rings 5th period will have their off campus privileges revoked for one week. Student IDs will be collected at the gate and returned after school.

1. Students, please take a few minutes to recognize Pioneers showing PRIDE. You can choose to nominate staff members for Staff of the Month or other students as Everyday Pioneers. Use the Google Form provided.   https://goo.gl/forms/2uDgMSgEMeTA8wMy1.
2. Mr. Perrotta's Biotechnology classes are raising money through the Living Water World Missions charity to provide clean drinking water for villages in Guatemala. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please stop by room H-5 to contribute. No amount is too large or small. If we can raise $4500, we will provide clean drinking water for an entire village of Guatemalans. Thank you for considering this!
3. Junior and Senior boys who need help renting a tuxedo for Prom, please see Mrs. Araiza for more information.
4.  Students - friendly reminder to please continue to pick up trash after breakfast and lunch.  Show your MW Pride by keeping our campus clean.

5. Thank you Mt. Whitney! Our original order of yearbooks has sold out. If Jostens prints any extra books (and they usually do) they will be sold for $100 according to your number on a waiting list that has been started in Room B-207. If you want a chance at getting a yearbook, get to Room B-207 ASAP to get your name on the list.
6. The Sport Physical Clinic on campus is this Wednesday, May 8.  You must be Pre-Registered to attend. All pre-registered Girls report to the Gym at 12:30pm. Boys Last Name A-L report to the Gym at 1:30pm. Boys Last Name M-Z report to the Gym at 2:00pm
7. PTSA is requesting donations or dessert from parents for MW PTSA Staff Appreciation Luncheon on May 07, 2019. Desserts can be dropped off on this day until 11am.
8. Prom is on May 11th at the Visalia Convention Center: the theme is A Night on the Magic Carpet. You must obtain a clearance form from the Library before you will be able to purchase your ticket.  You can purchase tickets at the finance office May 6th thru May 10th.  Tickets stop promptly after lunch on Friday, May 10th. Single Tickets are $20 with an ASB embossment, $30 without embossment, and $50 at the door. If you're date attends a school from outside of Visalia Unified, please see Mrs. Reyes for a guest pass. Also, if you date is a Freshman or Sophomore, you will also need a guest pass.  Guest passes are due by Thursday, May 9th.  Hope to see you there!

Club Notes





1.    The GSA Club will meet in J-4 for the rest of the semester.  Newcomers are welcome.



2.   The Intersectional Feminist Club meets every Monday at lunch in K7. Join us and bring a friend!


3.   Come join Hip-Hop Club after school Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We have a new Choreographer!  Everyone is Welcome!! Come out and have fun with us!



4.   Attention FFA Members- TODAY at 4:00pm  in the cafeteria, come join to elect the upcoming 2019/20 FFA Officers

1.     Seniors-Come by the counseling office during lunch or before/after school to sign up for college visits.



2.    Seniors - the Fallen Memorial Scholarship essay is due Monday May 29th at 1:30 pm. If you have a parent or grandparent that served in the military you may be eligible. This scholarship is valued at $1,000. Please see Ms. Bravo or Ms. Herrera in the Counseling Office for more details.

*       Identify as patriotic

*       1 page essay max - see prompt below
Please write an essay on one of the following prompts:

*       What role does patriotism play in your life?

*       What does patriotism mean to you?
