1. Landed a job and need a work permit?  Come to the front office and pick up an application with Mrs. Reyes

2. Student replacement IDs are $10.  Please fill out a half sheet in the Finance Center and pay Ms. Chavez. Then please pick up your ID the next day from Mrs. Reyes in the front office
3. Attention Students: Do you know someone or have you watched vandalism of restrooms?  Please help us and inform the main office or administration.
4. Yearbook is accepting applications for next year's yearbook staff.  If you are interested in joining this great opportunity, please apply using the google form that was sent out in Schoology.
5. Wanting to be in one of our ASB classes for next year? ASB applications are open from now until April 22nd. Pick up a packet from Ms. Taylor in the Amaral (ASB room). Interview dates and times are to be determined for the first week of May!
6. Tutoring is offered before and after school in the library. IT IS FREE for all students. If you need help with your homework, please go to the library Tuesday thru Friday at 7am OR Go to the library after school to get the help you need.
7. After-school TODAY in room S11, there will be a showing of Princess Mononoke the classic anime movie. Snacks and Popcorn will be provided.  April 27st in room S11. Join XL for a Spring Paint Night. All supplies will be provided.  April 28th Loteria Night in room S11. Prizes will be handed out to winners.
8. Hello Mt. Whitney!  If you are interested in auditioning for Intermediate Dance, Advanced Dance or the Elevate Dance team, the first clinic is this Thursday, April 21 from 6-8pm.  If you would like to be in Intro to Dance next year, make sure to let your counselor know.  Clinics are April 21st and April 25th from 6-8pm and auditions are Tuesday, April 26.  You can pick up and audition packet and sign up for an audition time slot in the dance room (M-10).  See you Thursday!

9. Attention any students interested in joining ASB for next school year: Your application packet is due this Friday, April 22nd! No late packets will be accepted. Please see Ms. Taylor in the ASB room or Ms. Reyes in the front office to turn in your completed application packet.

It is time for Mr. and Ms. Pioneer week! Mr. and Ms. Pioneer senior candidates will run as individuals this year and we will be naming both a Mr. and Ms. Pioneer title! Seniors, see your email to nominate yourself if you would like to be a part of the competition. Also, clubs, sports, academies and any other programs on campus are welcome to nominate a senior boy and girl of their choosing! We will have an informational meeting for nominees TODAY, April 21st, at lunch.

We will be having dress-up days next week in honor of Mr. and Ms. Pioneer week!

The dress-up days will go with the Mr. and Ms. Pioneer & Spring Rally theme, "Game On".

Monday: Exercise Vs. Extra Fries- wear workout attire or your lazy fits!

Tuesday: Hunt or be Hunted- Wear animal print or wear camo

Wednesday: West Coast Vs. Wild West - Wear a surfer or preppy look or wear your cowboy get up!

Thursday: Rockin Rivals- wear the colors of one of our in-town rival schools!

10. Visalia Unified Presents "A Night in the Enchanted Forest", Junior/Senior Prom 2022. Join us on May 7th for a night of fun and friends in the Visalia Convention Center. Tickets go on sale at the beginning of May. Pre-Sale tickets are $40 with an ASB sticker and $50 without an ASB sticker.
A guest pass for any students outside of Visalia Unified will be available in the front office with Mrs. Reyes and need to be fully completed before tickets may be purchased in the finance office or library before school, during lunch, or after school until 4pm.

  1.  If you have not ordered your cap and gown, please do so at josten.com or 1-800-jostens and your order will be delivered to the front office.

  1.  There will be two speech opportunities at this year's Commencement Ceremony:
#1- the Welcome Speech--a pre-written speech in English and Spanish; and
#2- the Senior Speech-written by the applicant.

#1-The Welcome Speech will be a pre-written speech.  We need someone to read the English version and someone to read the Spanish version.  When you sign up, you will be given a copy of the speech for you to practice.
#2-The Senior Speech will be written by the applicant.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 26th, after school in Mrs. Oto's classroom, B25.  You may sign up with Mrs. Reyes beginning Tuesday, April 5th and select the speeches you want to audition for.  Deadline to sign is April 22nd.

  1.  Attention Seniors Who Attended Ridgeview!  A new scholarship was added late this year. Our forms were updated to include Scholarship #26 for a graduating senior who attended Ridgeview Middle School. If you have already submitted your application and qualify for this scholarship, please call Laura Pace at (559) 972-6976 or email scholarships at visaliaedfoundation.org<mailto:scholarships at visaliaedfoundation.org> and we can modify your application to include this if you are eligible.
