1. Landed a job and need a work permit?  Come to the front office and pick up an application with Mrs. Reyes

2. Student replacement IDs are $10.  Please fill out a half sheet in the Finance Center and pay Ms. Chavez. Then please pick up your ID the next day from Mrs. Reyes in the front office
3. Attention Students: Do you know someone or have you watched vandalism of restrooms?  Please help us and inform the main office or administration.
4. Yearbook is accepting applications for next year's yearbook staff.  If you are interested in joining this great opportunity, please apply using the google form that was sent out in Schoology.
5. Tutoring is offered before and after school in the library. IT IS FREE for all students. If you need help with your homework, please go to the library Tuesday thru Friday at 7am OR Go to the library after school to get the help you need.
6. TODAY- Loteria Night in room S11. Prizes will be handed out to winners.
7. We will be having dress-up days this week in honor of Mr. and Ms. Pioneer week!

The dress-up days will go with the Mr. and Ms. Pioneer & Spring Rally theme, "Game On".

Monday: Exercise Vs. Extra Fries- wear workout attire or your lazy fits!

Tuesday: Hunt or be Hunted- Wear animal print or wear camo

TODAY: West Coast Vs. Wild West - Wear a surfer or preppy look or wear your cowboy get up!

TODAY: Rockin Rivals- wear the colors of one of our in-town rival schools!

TODAY: All Star Athletes- Students wear sports gear, jerseys, and fan gear.  Teachers- wear black and white or referee shirts!
8. Visalia Unified Presents "A Night in the Enchanted Forest", Junior/Senior Prom 2022. Join us on May 7th for a night of fun and friends in the Visalia Convention Center. Tickets go on sale at the beginning of May. Pre-Sale tickets are $40 with an ASB sticker and $50 without an ASB sticker.
A guest pass for any students outside of Visalia Unified will be available in the front office with Mrs. Reyes and need to be fully completed before tickets may be purchased in the Library before school, during lunch, or after school until 4pm by May 5th.
9. Who's ready for some outdoor theater? The Drama program will be hosting their end-of-the-year Spring Show in the Amphitheater on Friday May 6th. This year's show is student-lead and features the hard work and creativity of our Mt. Whitney Drama students. Tickets will be $5. This will be an outdoor show so bring your blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy!
10.  Thank you for participating in the Jelly Bean Contest- Total jelly beans were 388, winners are:  1st place- Jennifer Magallan Murrillo who guessed 375 and 2nd place was Evelyn Nuno who guessed 370

Club Note

  1.  Attention upcoming sophomores, juniors and seniors! Are you interested in joining Link Crew for the 22-23 school year? Link Crew is a club that will give you an opportunity to build relationships with incoming freshmen. Link crew applications are now available in J-4 and the counseling office. Applications are due to Mr. Contreras in J- 4 on May 6. There will be an info meeting on May 11 at lunch in J-4.
  2.  There is a hygiene-bag drive from April 25-May 5th by Interact Club.  Please donate toiletries into the drop-boxes located in K-6, ASB room, and the Front Office

  1.  Attention Seniors Who Attended Ridgeview!  A new scholarship was added late this year. Our forms were updated to include Scholarship #26 for a graduating senior who attended Ridgeview Middle School. If you have already submitted your application and qualify for this scholarship, please call Laura Pace at (559) 972-6976 or email scholarships at visaliaedfoundation.org<mailto:scholarships at visaliaedfoundation.org> and we can modify your application to include this if you are eligible.

  1.  Juniors - This summer, COS will be offering the Jump Start Internship for students interested in industrial careers.  From July 5th - July 28th, students who are interested in industrial careers, will have training in electrical, OSHA safety, exposure to industrial technology careers, industry tours of local manufacturers, and more.  Upon completion of the internship, students will receive $1,500. High School juniors (incoming seniors) are encouraged to apply for the internship.
