TODAY:
1. SOCK DRIVE! Don't be a laughing stock and give some socks! CHRISTIANS IN ACTION CLUB will be running a Sock Drive for the upcoming holidays. The Sock Drive will be from TODAY thru December 8th. Drop off will be in Room 73.
2. HOLIDAY GRAMS ARE BACK!! TODAY - December 8th you can send your friends a HOLIDAY GRAM from LINK CREW. Find us in the QUAD at lunch to get yours personalized and ready to send. They are 50 cents each so empty out the bottom of your backpacks. It's worth the spare change!
3. ORCHESTRA WINTER CONCERT will be TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. at El Diamante Theater. Cost is $5.00 at the door.
4. CSF CLUB has a MANDATORY HOLIDAY MEETING TODAY! We will be sponsoring a holiday gift card drive and need everyone's participation to help Redwood families in need. In addition, scholarships and other opportunities will be addressed. Don't miss out on this very important meeting!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. Pro-MED MENTORYSHIP Students! Wednesday December 6th, we are taking a trip to Kaweah Delta to join in on a Psychiatry Didactics Lecture followed by a visit with our Family Medicine Resident Mentors. Please meet in the front of the RHS Library at 3:30 p.m. and we will walk as group to Kaweah Delta. See you then!!
2. STUDENTS: the weather is colder ONLY BEANIES WILL BE ALLOWED during the cold winter months; please leave your hats at home! Also, please adhere to the courtesy/politeness/respect of removing your headgear when indoors! Because of security and safety - BLANKETS ARE NOT ALLOWED on campus, please leave blankets at home!
3. FACULTY/STAFF: During the cold winter months we ARE ALLOWING our students to wear ONLY BEANIES, they are to remove them when going indoors, i.e., classroom, building, etc.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Come and get your REDWOOD SCARF for $20 to benefit REDWOOD BOYS SOCCER TEAM. If interested, please stop by and see Mrs. Torres in the Counseling Office.
2. CROSS COUNTRY BOYS AWARDS DINNER will be at Howie & Son's on December 6th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Please bring your uniform if you haven't already returned it. Names of those that still have uniforms will be turned in on Friday December 8th.
3. BOYS SOCCER BOOSTERS MEETING on Wednesday December 6th starting 6:00 p.m. in the Library. Please plan to attend!
4. CHOIR CONCERT will be held on Friday December 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the LJ Williams Theatre.
5. CSF Club is sponsoring a Holiday Gift Card Drive to benefit needy RHS families. Our goal is to collect 40 certificates in order to help 20 families. Gift certificates should be in the amount of $10, and can be from any store. Let's spread goodwill and joy to others! Bring $10 gift certificates to RH 108 by December 12th! 6. COOKIES AND CRAM! Are you ready for finals? They will be here in a blink of an eye. LINK CREW is hosting the annual Cookies and Cram Tuesday December 12th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Academic Building. We have French, Biology, Chemistry and English teachers; Plus Math and History Tutors ready to help you with your last minute study. ***List of subjects will be updated as we get closer.
7. Students, faculty, staff, and friends of students, faculty, and staff! Are you a lover or expressor of art? Do you want to share or experience it after darkness falls? Red Ink presents Art After Dark, a true artistic experience. Come see students read their poetry, channel their inner singer, or show off their amazing talents. Have a talent of your own to share? Sign up with Ms. Link in room 103. Open to everyone. Experience the art Redwood has to offer Thursday, December 14, from 6-9 pm in room 103, $2.00 admission, all proceeds go to benefit Red Ink spring events.
SENIORS:
1. Seniors! The December deadline for Yearbook Senior Ads has been moved from December 1st to December 8th. After 12/8, prices will go up from $115 for ¼ page and $200 for ½ page to $140 for ¼, $220 for ½. The final chance to buy senior ads ends February 2nd. See Mr. Feehan for details in room 40.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
1. 2017 EECU Educational Grant Scholarship: Amount: $2,000. Criteria: You must be a member, joint member or joint owner of Educational Employees Credit Union a minimum of 6 months prior to application close date. Account must be in good standing. Application Deadline: December 8th. Apply at: http://www.myeecu.org/home/resources/mycommunity/student-grant-program.
2. REDWOOD HIGH SCHOOL LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: Amount: Varies. Criteria: Varies. Apply at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAlpQLSfiPbVdGtS_mmJKFihXS2teONOsu1BSo8axl1ASX_jmBAaU9w/viesform?c=0&w=1. Deadline: December 15th.
3. CSF Michelson Memorial Award: Amount: $1,000.00 Criteria: 800-1000 word essay to prompt, must be a current active CSF Member and be a SENIOR this year Application Process: go to https://csf-cjsf.org/csf-awards/ Due Date: December 22nd.
