NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

1.       FRESHMAN!!! HOW IS SCHOOL STARTED OUT FOR YOU? We hope well and want to kick of the Football season Friday Aug 31st with a Tailgate Party just for you!! Link Crew will provide games, Music, and Entertainment from 4pm-6pm on the Sierra Vista football field. Bring your ID'S with you to get a Free meal and wrist band to enter into the football stadium that night. See you out there.

2.       The first MEETING of RED INK will be happening Tuesday August 28th at lunch in room 103. Feeling creative? Come join us.

3.       Interact Club- Our first MEETING of the year on Tuesday, August 28th at lunch in room 101! Please join our Google Classroom to keep up to date with all of the events we will be volunteering at this year: y1lj25 All are welcome! Hope to see you there!

4.       SOKA UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVE will be on campus Thursday September 13th during 6th period.  Sign up in the Counseling Office.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.       BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT August 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

2.       FALL PLAY AUDITIONS will be August 28 at 6 pm OR August 29 at 4 pm in the Drama room.  Audition material will be available starting at a PRE AUDITION MEETING AUGUST 21 at lunch in the drama room. 15 Sierra Vista. The show is It's A Wonderful Life, Radio Play version. Need more info? Contact Mrs. Galvan.

3.       MONSTER SQUAD! Meeting Tuesday August 28th after school from 3:30-5:30, Yates room P3, Sierra Vista Campus.

4.       ART CLUB Meeting- Wednesday August 29th at lunch, Yates room P3 Sierra Vista.

 1.  PERU TRIP MEETING!!! Do you want to explore Peru next summer while earning 3 units of college credit?? Come to a PARENT/STUDENT INFO MEETING on Thursday August 30th at 5:30pm, room P3 Sierra Vista or ask Mrs. Yates!! See you there!

6.       Attention all girls interested in joining the GIRLS WRESTLING TEAM, there will be a TEAM MEETING on Monday September 3rd during lunch in Room 39.  Bring your lunch with you.  We will be discussing the upcoming season, upcoming training, and fundraising.

7.       HOMECOMING ASSEMBLY Monday September 10th- Assembly Bell Schedule.

8.       CSF NEWS!  *The membership drive for Spring 2018 is September 10-14!  Come by room 108 to pick up info and an application.  Be sure to request a transcript from the office now! Don't wait until it is too late! *Join the REMIND for the new year to get notifications!  Text @rangercsf to 81010 *The first general meeting will be September 26 in the gym during lunch.  This meeting is mandatory for all current members!   *Welcome freshmen!  You are invited to all of our meetings and activities.

9.       CSF MEMBERSHIP FOR SPRING 2018 WILL BE SEPTEMBER 10-14 in room 108 at lunch.  Bring the following:  1) Completed application form (pick up early)  2) Official copy of Spring 2018 semester report card or a transcript from the office. Power School printouts may not be used.   Students should request a transcript from the office at least a week in advance.  Junior & Seniors must have a transcript.  3) A donation* one one like-new hardback book for the Redwood Library 4)Five dollars to go towards covering CSF graduation supplies (pin, shawl, certificate, & seal) Freshman do not need to apply until January, 2019.  FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 14th is the deadline.  See Mrs. Cheatwood in room 108 or email gcheatwood at vusd.org<mailto:gcheatwood at vusd.org> if you have any concerns or questions.

10.   COLLEGE NIGHT will be Tuesday September 11th at the Convention Center from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

11.  Redwood's MINI COLLEGE FAIR will be held on Tuesday September 11th during 6th period in the Cafeteria.  Students that are interested can sign up in the Counseling Office.

12.  A MONTANA TECH COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE will be on campus Wednesday September 12th during 1st period in the upstairs library.  Sign Ups are in the Counseling Office.

13.  A REDLANDS UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVE will be on campus Wednesday September 12th during 2nd period in the upstairs library.  Sign Ups are in the Counseling Office.

14.  A UC SANTA BARBARA REPRESENTATIVE will be on campus Thursday September 13th during 4th period in the upstairs library.  Sign Ups are in the Counseling Office.

15.  A UCLA REPRESENTATIVE will be on campus Thursday September 13th during 5th period in the upstairs library.  Sign Ups are in the Counseling Office.

16.  JUNIORS AND SENIORS!  Youth Leadership, a leadership and mentoring program is now available.  Apply today for the opportunity to make a difference in your community. Application Deadline is October 5th.

17.   FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, are you interested in a physician mentoring program?  Kaweah Delta is hosting a yearlong mentorship program that provides physicians to help guide your path to becoming a doctor.  This program is formally known as the "Pro-MED Mentorship Program."  To participate in this program, you must submit an application to Kaweah Delta.  Previous Mentorship students, you will have to reapply if you wish to continue to be part of the program.  Applications are due on September 10th!  For more information or to pick up an application, please stop by the Pro-MED Specialist's office located in the upstairs library.

18.   Welcome back to school Redwood Rangers!  Hopefully you all had a chance to relax and recharge during your summer break.  As a friendly reminder, REDWOOD XL offers free snack after-school, in the cafeteria from 3:17 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.  Snack is also served in the library from 3:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., just ask an XL Staff Member in the upstairs library.  So, if you find yourself hungry after-school, make sure you stop by to grab a snack...We are looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces!
