On sale at lunch in the Quad or find an AVID officer, and they can help you choose the right gram to make that special someone batty! Grams are only $1 and they will be on sale from TODAY to October 30th. Don't have a significant other? Send yourself one! Boo-yah!!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. Redwood GIGANTEA, CSF, FBLA, INTERACT, LIVE 2 FREE and KEY CLUB have all joined to host a SOCK DRIVE from October 29th through November 5th! Help your club and donate to Room 207. All donations are going to Visalia Rescue Mission. Anything helps! Thank you!
2. No tricks just treats! PRO-MED STUDENTS, next club MEETING is on Monday, October 29th at 3:30pm in room 94. Come on by for some Halloween fun!
3. Paws 4 a Cause meeting at lunch in Room 94 Monday October 29th to discuss the Halloween Costume Contest Wednesday October 31st on the Quad.
4. Paws 4 a Cause Halloween costume contest for your pet(s) Halloween day October 31st after school from 4:00-5:00 PM on the Quad. Dogs, cats, rats, bunnies...anything that can safely be kept in a crate or on a leash is eligible to enter. A $2 entry fee is required and a prize for Best Costume and Most Creative as judged by Mrs. Barba-Tepper and the Mystery Judge will each receive a prize. Walk the grass or paper carpet of your wildest dreams to costume victory with your best furry or scaly pal.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. University of San Francisco will be on campus October 29th during 1st period in the upstairs library. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
2. BOYS BASKETBALL Tryouts start on Monday October 29th in the Gym.
3. PTSA MEETING on Monday October 29th at 5:00 p.m. in the Ranger Hall (room number to come later). PTSA monthly meetings are a great place to get information on topics that relate to supporting Redwood students, parents, and teachers. Everyone is invited.
4. POMONA COLLEGE in Claremont, CA. will be on campus Tuesday October 30th during 6th period in the upstairs library. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
5. Mount Saint Mary's University will be on campus Wednesday October 31st during 5th period in the upstairs library. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
6. Interested in competing for FBLA next Spring? Come November 1st at lunch in Room 74 to find out all the information needed in our competitive events. Help us #WinValley again this year! Sign up for your events at bit.ly/RHSComps now!
7. LIVE 2 FREE is currently holding a donation drive for foster children who are also victims of Human Trafficking. Please donate any hygiene products, flip flops, non-perishable food items, Gatorade or overnight bags. Items can be taken to room 29 or you can contact an executive member of the club. Donation drive ends Nov 1st. Anything can make a difference!!
8. It's a Wonderful Like, The Radio Play, is coming to Redwood! The WRHS Players present our FALL PLAY November 1st, 2nd, 3rd at 7:00 pm and November 3rd at 2:00 pm. $8 General Admission. Rotary Theater. A Deep Pit Dinner will be sold for the November 3rd shows only, $10. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Galvan in the drama room, or online at RedwoodRangersDrama.ludus.com.
9. The ASVAB TEST will be on Wednesday November 7th in the upstairs library. You must be either 10th, 11th or 12th grade to take the test. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
10. CSF's next MANDATORY MEETING is November 7th at lunch in the gym! Please mark this important date on your calendar! Also, pick up your pre-paid t-shirt in room 108 and wear it to the club meeting. See you there!
SENIORS:
1. IT'S SENIOR AD TIME! Seniors, buy your senior ad NOW for the lowest price of the year (prices go up November 1st). Senior Ads are your opportunity to have a space that is truly yours in the yearbook. This can come from your parents, grandparents, or other loved ones, or it could be a space that you share with some friends! Check out previous yearbooks for ideas, or come into the yearbook room (40) to check some out or to ask questions. Buy online at Jostens.com (search Redwood, then choose Recognition Ads) then email materials to Mr. Feehan (cfeehan at vusd.org<mailto:cfeehan at vusd.org>). Please purchase online instead of on campus for senior ads and yearbooks, to make things easier for all of us!
SCHOLARSHIPS:
*Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 to $5,000 per year
Criteria: Applicants must be: Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools) U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution Application Process: Apply at http://www.coca-colascholarsfoundation.org/applicants/#programs Deadline: October 31
*Elk's National Foundation Most Valuable Student Amount: $1,000-$12,500 per year
