TODAY:

1.       Redwood GIGANTEA, CSF, FBLA, INTERACT, LIVE 2 FREE and KEY CLUB have all joined to host a SOCK DRIVE from TODAY through November 5th!  Help your club and donate to Room 207.  All donations are going to Visalia Rescue Mission.  Anything helps!  Thank you!

2.       CSF t-shirts have arrived!  If you paid for a shirt, please come by Room 108 TODAY to pick up yours!

3.       Interested in competing for FBLA next Spring?  Come TODAY at lunch in Room 74 to find out all the information needed in our competitive events.  Help us #WinValley again this year!  Sign up for your events at bit.ly/RHSComps now!

4.       ATTENTION RANGER TRACK ATHLETES:   We will hold track sign ups and an INFORMATIONAL MEETING in the gym at lunchTODAY. Please plan to attend if you are interested in competeing for the upcoming 2019 track season.  For further questions please see Coach Roebuck .

5.       LIVE 2 FREE is currently holding a donation drive for foster children who are also victims of Human Trafficking. Please donate any hygiene products, flip flops, non-perishable food items, Gatorade or overnight bags. Items can be taken to room 29 or you can contact an executive member of the club. Donation drive TODAY, Anything can make a difference!!

6.       It's a Wonderful Like, The Radio Play, is coming to Redwood! The WRHS Players present our FALL PLAY TODAY, November 2Nd and 3rd at 7:00 pm and November 3rd at 2:00 pm. $8 General Admission. Rotary Theater.  A Deep Pit Dinner will be sold for the November 3rd shows only, $10.  Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Galvan in the drama room, or online at RedwoodRangersDrama.ludus.com.

7.       IT’S SENIOR AD TIME! Seniors, buy your senior ad NOW for the lowest price of the year (prices go up TODAY). Senior Ads are your opportunity to have a space that is truly yours in the yearbook. This can come from your parents, grandparents, or other loved ones, or it could be a space that you share with some friends! Check out previous yearbooks for ideas, or come into the yearbook room (40) to check some out or to ask questions. Buy online at Jostens.com (search Redwood, then choose Recognition Ads) then email materials to Mr. Feehan (cfeehan at vusd.org<mailto:cfeehan at vusd.org>). Please purchase online instead of on campus for senior ads and yearbooks, to make things easier for all of us!
SPORTS TODAY/EARLY RELEASES:
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

1.       The ASVAB TEST will be on Wednesday November 7th in the upstairs library.  You must be  10th, 11th or 12th grade to take the test.  Sign up in the Counseling Office.

2.       SENIORS:  The CSF Michelson Award opens November 1st, and is open to all CSF members who are currently seniors. MEMBERS HAVE UNTIL DECEMBER 22ND TO SUBMIT ESSAYS in response to the prompt published on the CSF website. One award of $1,000 will be given. 3.       IT’S OUR TURN TO SUPPORT THE BAND:  Take a break from cooking dinner and support Redwood Ranger Band & Color Guard.  Go to Blaze Pizza on November 13 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and mention the Redwood Band & Color Guard and they will receive 20% of your order.  It is that easy and who doesn’t love pizza?  🍕
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.        Friday, November 2nd the newly reorganized COMPUTER & ESPORTS CLUB MEETS at lunch Room 45. We'll be talking about watching the Overwatch League matches, fundraising, T-Shirts, and other events we want to plan!

4.       CSF's next MANDATORY MEETING is November 7th at lunch in the gym!  Please mark this important date on your calendar! Also, pick up your pre-paid t-shirt in room 108 and wear it to the club meeting.  See you there!

*College of the Sequoias Scholarship Application

*CIF/Farmers Scholar-Athlete
Amount: up to $5,000 Criteria: 3.5gpa or above, Varsity sport at least two years including senior year, display the 6 Pillars of Character  Visit http://www.cifstate.org/parents-students/awards_and_scholarships/sa/SCHOLAR_2019_APPLICATION_FINAL.pdf to apply
Deadline: Must be postmarked by February 19

*Tulare County Farm Bureau-
Amount: Varies ($500-$2000)  Criteria: Must attend high school or have graduated from a high school in Tulare County, must complete and return application (paper or online), must submit two letters of recommendation, must submit a copy of current school transcript.
