TODAY:



1.       TUX & TAILS IS ONCE AGAIN ALLOWING BOYS TO SIGN UP TODAY FOR TUXEDO'S FOR PROM.  Student will have to go to Tux & Tails and be measured NO LATER THAN APRIL 26th.  Students must bring their School Student ID card to be measured.   If interested please sign up in the Counseling Office.

2.       ATTENTION GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING POWDERPUFF AND COACHES INTERESTED IN COACHING!!!! POWDERPUFF IS FRIDAY MAY 3RD in the Bowl. The JV game is at 6:00pm and the Varsity game is at 7:30pm. There are informational meetings for each class on the rules to play, how to get a medical clearance form, and how to get a team t shirt.

TODAY, Junior Meeting:, Sophomore Meeting: Wednesday April 10th, Freshmen Meeting: Thursday April 11th. All meetings will be in the ASB room (Room 31) and will start at 1:00pm on Monday, and 12:45pm Tuesday-Thursday. Come if you're interested in playing!

3.       HEY ABLAZE CLUB! We will have a meeting TODAY during lunch, room 30. Let's discuss end of the year activities and T-shirt status. Also, let's compile a list of activities for next school year and finally, let's figure out who will be our officers for next year.

4.       SIGN UPS FOR THE BLOOD DRIVE in the ASB Room 31!  DEADLINE TODAY.  Blood Drive is on Thursday April 11th from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Come to Room 31 to pick a time.  Requirements are:  16 years or older, at least 110 pounds, and no piercings or visits out of the country in the past year.

5.       International Try Outs for Fall 2019 - TODAY, 10th & 11th at lunch.  Boy's interested need to attend TODAY for interviews/auditions at lunch in the dance room.  All girls will learn choreography Wednesday, April 10th during lunch. Girls auditions will be Thursday, April 11th during lunch if they are new to the dance program. Students already in a dance class will audition during class.

6.       CSF POTENTIAL LIFETIME SENIORS:  IF YOU NEED THIS SEMESTER IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A MANDATORY MEETING TODAY in Room 108 during lunch.  At this time, you will receive instructions on how to attain lifetime status, and what you must do before graduation.  This announcement is not for those seniors who have already achieved lifetime membership and have been invited to the Senior Luncheon. 1.       CSF MANDATORY MEETING will be held in the gym on Wednesday April 10th at lunch time.  Graduation information procedure for potential lifetime members and conference reports are just some of the items on the agenda.  Attendance will be taken; plan on being there!  It is IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR MEMBERSHIP ACTIVE!

2.       HOPPY EASTER - WELL ALMOST - Link Crew is selling Easter Grams next week to be delivered to your friends on Thursday the 11th. Find your local Link Crew members in front of Ranger Hall before school and at lunch to send your friend a candy filled Easter egg to get them through the week.

3.       INTERESTED IN JOINING ASB? OR RUNNING FOR AN ELECTED OFFICE FOR ASB? The time has come! Head to Room 31 (ASB room) on Friday April 12th at lunch to get all the information on how to run for office, how to apply for an interview, and what the application consists of. There are a few changes from the application last year. After the meeting, feel free to grab an application packet from Ms. Aguilar. Applications are open until Tuesday, April 30th. All applications are due on April 30th by 3:30pm to Ms. Aguilar. Stop by Room 31 if you have any questions about the process!!!

4.       What is up Gamers, COMPUTER AND ESPORTS CLUB is holding a Smash Ultimate Tournament Friday, April 12 5pm-8pm in the Cafeteria do you have what it takes to be Redwoods Champ? Register now for only 10 dollars, there are only 32 slots available! After Friday April 5th registration increases to 15 dollars. Not a big gamer? No problem, non-comp entry is only 2 dollars with Student ID and 5 dollars without ID; our local game store GameQore will be in the house playing Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and Pokemon with interested students for free! We will have raffles for a D&D book, a Magic deck, and a Pokemon deck! AOLJ Club will be selling food/snacks, and we might have a movie station! Get a Registration from Mr. Cazarez in Room 45 of the Academic Building!

5.       SPRING BREAK will be from April 15th to April 22nd.  Students return to school on Tuesday April 23rd.

6.       DANCE RECITAL will be on April 26th at 7:00 p.m.; April 27th 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the LJ Williams Theatre.

7.       ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES! It's time for the annual ATHLETIC PHYSICAL CLINIC! It will be held on Wednesday May 1ST in the RHS gym. Athletic Physicals are required for every student planning on playing in sports during the 2019-20 school year. This is a chance to have it done at school for a low cost of $2. Physical packets can now be picked up from the nurse's office. Completed packets and $2 must be turned in by FRIDAY APRIL 26th to the school nurse. LATE SIGNUPS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

8.       PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ATHLETIC PHYSICAL CLINIC will be on Wednesday May 1st and parent volunteers are needed.  Lunch will be provided to all volunteers. The physical clinic is held in the gym from 11:30am-2:30pm on Wed May 1st. 9.       JUNIORS.....You are invited to apply to the Visalia Rotary "Camp Royal" Leadership Conference this summer! Applications are available in the Counseling office (Mrs. Torres).Deadline to submit your application to the counseling office is Wednesday, April 24th. Listed below are some facts regarding the application process and selection:
*         Camp Royal runs from Sunday, June 9th to Friday, June 14th...you must be able to attend the entire camp session.

*         Application and interview will be used to select students

*         Two letters of recommendation are required.

*         Students must write a 100 words or less essay entitled: Why I would like to attend Camp royal and leadership responsibilities you have had in the past

10.   REDWOOD CULTURE & CLIMATE TEAM: Attention all Redwood students!  Principal Shin is searching for student leaders to be a part of the Redwood Culture and Climate Team. The purpose of the team will be to foster and sustain a positive culture and climate at Redwood. The team will meet monthly with Principal Shin to address concerns or issues that arrive throughout the school year.  If you are interested in being a Redwood Culture and Climate Team member, please contact Mrs. Barba-Tepper or sign-up in the Counseling Office with Mrs. Hayslett.

11.   STAFF AND STUDENTS: AS OF TODAY STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR HEADGEAR. This includes, but is not limited to caps, bandanas, sweatbands, hairnets, beanies, and do-rag! However, STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO WEAR "sun-protective headgear," which consists of a full brim hat, with no logo or lettering, which is of a solid color and is made of either canvas or cotton cloth. The hat is to be worn as intended to provide sun protection and is only to be worn outdoors.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Lor, Mr. Paolinelli, or Mr. Marroquin.
SENIORS:

1.       GRAD NITE is Thursday May 16th.  We will be leaving Redwood from the Mineral King Parking Lot to head to Magic Mountain at 7:00 p.m.  Students need to be at campus NO LATER THAN 6:45 p.m.
