1.       FEMINIST PERSPECTIVE meets TODAY at lunch in room 45! We will be having a guest speaker from ACT for Women and Girls to talk about the upcoming Women's March! They will be sharing what it is and how we can be involved in this community building activity!

2.       Calling all PC Gamers! RHS eSports is looking to ramp up a new season of gaming. If you are interested in joining our Rocket League, Overwatch, or League of Legends teams come on down and show us what you got! It's not only skill, but teamwork. Join us afterschool upstairs in the library from 3:30-5:30 Mondays and Wednesdays to join, you can join us anytime!

3.       BOYS TENNIS PLAYERS:  There will be a meeting in Room 14A on the Sierra Vista Campus TODAY.  Players not in a winter sport will meet at 3:30 p.m.  Daily practice for those cleared will begin at 3:30 p.m. on the courts Thursday, January 17th.

4.       ATTENTION ALL CSF SENIORS!  You can now apply for the Seymour Memorial Award, the Sealbearer Award and the Redwood CSF Scholarships!  These are available for seniors who meet the following requirements:  1)100% lifetime membership/sealbearer status (7/8 semesters so far)  2)3.8 GPA or above, and 3)Active CSF Club involvement and community service participation.  Please come by Room 108 and pick up an APPLICATION FORM with requirements that will be due to Ms. Cheatwood by January 16, 2019.  For question, email gcheatwood at vusd.org.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

1.       GRAD NITE TICKET SALES:  GRAD NITE TICKETS for MAGIC MOUNTAIN will be available for SENIORS to purchase on Wednesday February 20th at 7:30 a.m. for $135 - CASH ONLY!  Tickets will be sold in the Redwood Gym.  SENIORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON CAMPUS UNTIL 7:00 a.m.!  ALL FINES must be cleared through the Finance Center before seniors can purchase a ticket.  GRAD NITE is Thursday May 16th.  We will be leaving Redwood from the Mineral King Parking Lot to head to Magic Mountain at 7:00 p.m.

2.       Time is running out for yearbook pre-sales and senior ad sales! Both end on Friday, February 1st. Buy online at Jostens.com or in the Finance Center or Mr. Feehan's room- on campus, we ONLY ACCEPT CASH. Contact Mr. Feehan for more details.

3.       SENIORS! Your opportunity to contribute to the yearbook is here. Senior Superlative voting is now open; the ballot is waiting for you in your school Gmail. Contact Mr. Feehan if you have questions.

4.      Ruiz 4 Kids Scholarship
Amount:  Varies Criteria:  HS senior, minimum 3.0 gpa, sealed school transcript, essay (instructions on web site), letter of recommendation, one-page resume.

5.       Joseph D'Agostino, Head Football Coach at College of the Sequoias, will be on campus Wednesday, January 23, during lunch. Seniors, who plan to attend COS this Fall and play football, please come to this informational meeting in the Fitness Center.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.       There will be a GOLF MEETING on Thursday January 17th during lunch in the Weight Room.

2.       Welcome back students! Hope you all had a restful winter break! To start the new semester on a good note the therapy dogs from PAWS-4-HEALING will be making a visit on Thursday, January 17th during your lunch in the choir room. Hope to see you there!

3.       There will be a DIVING MEETING will be on Friday January 18th after school on the pool deck for anyone interested in coming out for diving.

4.       BOYS BASKETBALL BOOSTERS FUNDARISER will be Monday January 21st from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Chipotle.  Please mention the fundraiser to receive support.

5.       Feminist Perspective meets Wednesday January 23rd at lunch in room 45! We will be having a guest speaker from ACT for Women and Girls to talk about their upcoming Feminist Leadership Academy! Have questions you've always wanted to ask? Stuck on a Stereotype with only anecdotal evidence to prove your point? While come and find out what it's all about and see how you can develop leadership skills and be engaged in your community!

6.       What's up Gamers! RHS eSports is having a fundraiser Saturday January 26th at Panda Express! From 5-9PM roll into Panda at 1933 N. Dinuba Blvd. order, and them know it's for RHS eSports! You can catch the flyer on our Insta @rhs_esports Helps us make sure we remain one of the top 10 Rocket League teams in the nation!

7.       STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY on Monday January 28th; students are released at 1:53 p.m.

8.       TRUE RANGERS DOUBLE ASSEMBLY will be in the LJ Williams Theatre on January 28th; bell schedule will be in the bulletin on that date.

9.       CSF Fall Membership Drive will be held the week of February 4th through February 8th 2019.  Bring the following to Room 108 during lunch:  *completed application form (pick up early in Room 108), *fall semester transcript provided the week of February 4th in your English class EXCEPT for seniors, *a donation of one hardback book for the Redwood Library, and *$5 fee to cover graduation supplies.  Friday February 8, 2019 is the DEADLINE to apply.  Freshmen are now eligible to apply for membership with their first semester grades.  Seniors ONLY will need to request a transcript 3-4 days in advance from the Counseling Department in order to provide documentation for CSF membership.  (All other grades will receive transcripts in their English class.) 10.  ATTENTION TRACK ATHLETES: Track season has officially started.  Stay current with updated information on the Track Google classroom for schedules and spirit pack information.  For further questions see coach Roebuck.
