TODAY:
1. LAST DAY FOR AP TESTING TODAY.
2. Hey Rangers! Interested in playing in Redwood's first ULTIMATE FRISBEE tournament? Get your team of 5-6 players and sign up with Mrs. Moore in Ranger Hall, Room 203! The winners of the entire tournament get to play the staff and will receive free champion t-shirts! Sign up TODAY and text @redwoodult to 81010 for more information.
SPORTS TODAY/EARLY RELEASES:
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. Attention Football players! MANDATORY SPRING PRACTICE for JV and Varsity begins Monday May 20th afterschool. MANDATORY PARENT AND PLAYER MEETING, for all levels, Wednesday May 22nd, 7pm in the gym.
2. RHS'S ONE ACTS ARE COMING! Come and see Intentional Chaos presented by your Drama 3 and 4 class, featuring all Drama 1's and 2's! May 22nd - 25th! May 22nd is 3rd period drama class, May 23rd, is 6th, and May 24th and 25th is all advanced drama students. Tickets are $5 in advance from Mrs. Galvan and $8 at the door.
3. ALL STUDENTS interested in Fall Play and/or musical for next year, Meeting is on May 29th at lunch in the Drama room 15.
4. If you are signed up to take AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE next year plan to come to the MANDATORY INFORMATIONAL MEETING on Friday May 24th at lunch in room P-15 on Sierra Vista. The summer assignment and Google Classroom code will be handed out. Bring your lunch. See you then!
5. SCIENCE OLYMPIAD MEMBERS should attend an OFFICER ELECTION INFO MEETING at Sierra Vista Room P11 Monday May 20th during lunch.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. VHSPA Awards is on May 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the LJ Williams Theater.
2. STUDENT RECOGNITION BBQ is on May 21st during lunch on campus.
3. ATTENTION ALL TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES: The TRACK BANQUET will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, at the Redwood pool. The banquet will start at 3:30 poolside. Come celebrate our successes this season. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please be sure to turn in your uniform prior to the banquet if your season has ended.
4. SPRING SPORTS RECOGNITON ASSEMBLY is on May 23rd. Bell schedule will be in bulletin on that date.
5. DRAMA ONE ACTS May 23rd-25th at 7:00 p.m. in the Rotary Theater.
6. VUSD STUDENT INCLUSIVITY TASK FORCE- VUSD seeks students to serve on the inclusivity task force starting fall 2019. During the 18-19 school year the task force members focused on dress code. Topics for the 19-20 school year will be determined by the membership of the task force. To apply for membership on the task force, go to https://forms.gle/8Jjv7M8eabPCxaNa7 and complete the application by May 24, 2019. 7. LOG ASSEMBLY is on May 29th; regular assembly schedule.

9. The REDWOOD RANGER BANDS will have a Parent Meeting on Thursday, May 30th at 6:00 pm in the Band Room. All parents-current and incoming, MUST attend this meeting. Information for Band Camp, Fall Marching Band, Trips, and Fundraising will be discussed. All Parents need to attend.
10. SPRING CHOIR SHOW is on May 31st 7:00 p.m. at the LJ Williams Theater.
11. CAN FOOD DRIVE. ABLAZE CLUB MEMBERS: bring your food cans this week. Fill the box by Attendance Office, Mr. Vieira's Room 30, Ms. Medina's Room P1. Let's help feed some hungry people. Tell your friends to donate cans so we can surpass our goal. Can food drive will end NEXT WEEK!
SENIORS:
1. SENIOR BBQ will be at 5 p.m. on May 29th the same day as LOG NIGHT. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from Mr. Schieferle (Room 37), Mr. Fuller Room (Room 36) and Mr. Miller (Room 207). Tickets can be purchased Monday, May 20th - Friday, May 24th.
2. SENIORS: SENIOR BREAKFAST will be on Wednesday June 5th at 7:00 a.m. in the Cafeteria. MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE will be on June 5th at 8:00 a.m. in the bowl. REDWOOD GRADUATION is June 5th.
3. SENIORS: GRADUATION REMINDER - Seniors cannot bring cellphones, purses, and bags to the graduation ceremony. Graduation caps cannot be altered or decorated. Only CSF gold cords, C & C blue cords and Board award medals, and Principal award medals may be worn during the ceremony. Seniors need to be in the gym at 6:30 p.m. The Graduation Ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m.; gates open at 6:00 p.m., Giddings Street gates. Balloons are not allowed in the Mineral King Bowl.
4. SENIORS: Sign up for FINAL TRANSCRIPTS in the Counseling Office to be mailed to your college. Please have the address to the admissions office available when signing up.
