1.       YEARBOOKS ARE HERE! LOG NIGHT is TONIGHT outside of the Redwood office. After the Senior Barbecue (5 pm in the quad), seniors can get their yearbooks at 5:30; everybody else can get theirs starting at 6. Unsold yearbooks will be available for purchase for $95 CASH ONLY. Bring a pen and a chair or blanket and hang out, signing yearbooks until 7:30. Students who don't come to Log Night can get their yearbooks after school in room 40 on Thursday May 30th or Friday May 31st at lunch, but all are encouraged to attend Log Night! Also available for sale: senior panoramas ($10), a small number of 2016 or 2017 yearbooks for $70 cash, autograph inserts, and more yearbook accessories.

2.       SENIOR BBQ will be at 5 p.m. TODAY.  Seniors plan on wearing a shirt to show off your future plans whether that is going to a college, joining the military, or starting a career.

3.       ALL STUDENTS interested in Fall Play and/or musical for next year, Meeting is TODAY at lunch in the Drama room 15.
SPORTS TODAY/EARLY RELEASES:
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

1.       AP Biology MANDATORY MEETING for students planning to take the class next school year. The MEETING is on Friday, May 31st at LUNCH in Room 89. General information and the summer assignment will be given out.

2.       Sophomores that are planning to take APUSH next year need to join the APUSH Summer Google Classroom to complete the summer assignment.  The class code is vke186t If you have further questions feel free to contact Mr. Vieira (Rm 30; jvieira at vusd.org<mailto:jvieira at vusd.org>) or Mr. Eskridge (Rm 33; reskridge at vusd.org<mailto:reskridge at vusd.org>).

3.       DEAR ROYAL OAKS ALUMNI, We would like to get the opportunity to celebrate YOU, and to display to our students what their future holds.  We are inviting all GRADUATING SENIORS who attended Royal Oaks to come on June 5th, at 11:15 to "Walk the Halls" in your caps and gowns.  If you would like to participate, please gather in the front office of Royal Oaks at 11:15.  WE will step off promptly at 11:30.  This process should only take about 30 minutes.  Thank you in advance for participating.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.       The REDWOOD RANGER BANDS will have a Parent Meeting on Thursday, May 30th at 6:00 pm in the Band Room. All parents-current and incoming, MUST attend this meeting. Information for Band Camp, Fall Marching Band, Trips, and Fundraising will be discussed. All Parents need to attend.

2.       The ULTIMATE FRISBEE TOURNAMENT is less than two weeks away! On May 31st, teams of 5-6 players will compete in the single elimination tournament on the turf field at 5pm for glory and for "Champion" T-shirts! If you've already signed up, the permission form is due to Mrs. Moore (Ranger Hall 203) by May 29th. If you haven't signed up and still want to play, sign up in Mrs. Moore's room by May 24th. 3.       SPRING CHOIR SHOW is on May 31st 7:00 p.m. at the LJ Williams Theater.

4.       DMV PINK SLIPS WILL BE ISSUED UP UNTIL FRIDAY MAY 31ST.  No pink slips will be issued after that date (for this current school year)!  No exceptions! If you need one for your learner's permit knowledge test, fill out the appropriate paper work now!

5.       Hey, do you want to go to France?  There is still time! We are planning to go April 4th -11th 2020. Please see Mme Newman in room 47.  Deadline to sign up is June 1st 2019.

6.       CAN FOOD DRIVE.  ABLAZE CLUB MEMBERS: bring your food cans this week. Fill the box by Attendance Office, Mr. Vieira's Room 30, Ms. Medina's Room P1.  Let's help feed some hungry people. Tell your friends to donate cans so we can surpass our goal. Can food drive will end NEXT WEEK!

7.       If you will be taking ENGLISH 2 HONORS next year (or think you'll be taking it), you need to make sure you collect the assignment before going on summer vacation!  Log on to the English 2H Summer Assignment Google Classroom (classroom code: bmn7jh) to access the assignment. Questions? See Ms. Saputo (room 208), Mrs. Feehan (room 202), or Mr. Mcnitt (room 106).

8.       MARCH PSAT 10 RESULTS ARE AVAILABLE!  Students that took the PSAT 10 should have received an email from College Board on how to access their results online.  Students can also pick up their results in the Counseling Department. See Mr. Matta before school or after school.

9.       Are you a Sophomore and registered for AP LANGUAGE (junior level) next school year? Well, there is a summer assignment! Instructions can be found on Google Classroom... Enroll in our Classroom by using the code jgc09v. If you have any questions or just want to introduce yourself, don't hesitate to ask/visit Mrs. Moore (smoore at vusd.org<mailto:smoore at vusd.org>; RH 203) or Mrs. Tolbert (bbridges at vusd.org<mailto:bbridges at vusd.org>; 105). We look forward to having you in class next school year!
SENIORS:

1.       SENIORS:  SENIOR BREAKFAST will be on Wednesday June 5th at 7:00 a.m. in the Cafeteria.  MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE will be on June 5th at 8:00 a.m. in the bowl.  REDWOOD GRADUATION is June 5th.

2.       SENIORS:  GRADUATION REMINDER - Seniors cannot bring cellphones, purses, and bags to the graduation ceremony.  Graduation caps cannot be altered or decorated.  Only CSF gold cords, C & C blue cords and Board award medals, and Principal award medals may be worn during the ceremony.  Seniors need to be in the gym at 6:30 p.m.  The Graduation Ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m.; gates open at 6:00 p.m., Giddings Street gates.  Balloons are not allowed in the Mineral King Bowl.

3.       SENIORS:  Sign up for FINAL TRANSCRIPTS in the Counseling Office to be mailed to your college.  Please have the address to the admissions office available when signing up.
