TODAY:


1.       ART CLUB meeting TODAY during lunch in Mr. Harris' room SV12.

2.       BLACKOUT SHIRTS for this Friday October 25th game only $10 to be sold at Ranger Hall Courtyard during lunch TODAY.

3.       Please join us for our ORCHESTRA FALL CONCERT TODAY AT 7:00pm in the LJ Williams Theater.  $5 general admission.  We will be featuring 4 seniors (Joshua Glass, Maya Carrillo, Erika Nguyen, and Jayden Perez) on solos as well as all 3 RHS orchestras.

4.       A MILE OF DOLLAR BILLS TO END POLIO - INTERACT CLUB has been raising funds for this amazing project for two weeks. If you see the students with a Milk Carton Box around campus please give them a donation. Any amount is a great contribution. Help us make this dream come true. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will donate $2 for every dollar you donate. TODAY AFTER SCHOOL we will MEET at the track to tape all the dollar bills and lined them up to measure the mile.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

1.       XL PROGRAM invites you to come by every Wednesday and Thursday from October 23rd to November 21st to the RHS Library from 3:30pm-4:30pm. They will be helping out with any questions or support you may need in your COLLEGE APPLICATIONS, FAFSA, OR CA DREAM ACT. There will be chrome-books available for you to use.

2.       BOY'S SOCCER TRYOUTS will be held on the turf field starting on Monday October, 28th-30th at 6:30pm.

3.       SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE ANIMAL LOVERS! CSF is happy to report that the donation drive benefiting the Valley Oak SPCA was a great success! Because of your generosity, we were able to collect almost 200 items including cans of bags of pet food, treats, training pads and of course toys! On behalf of CSF and the Valley Oak SPCA, THANK YOU REDWOOD RANGERS! We would also like to express our appreciation to Noelle Andrew who organized and made this event possible!

4.       HARVEST PICTURES FROM ESSENCE ARE IN! They are available for pick up in the ASB room (rm.31).
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.       COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS is hosting an event for both parents and Junior/Senior High School students with an interest in Majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).  October 25th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., sign up at:  www.cos.edu/ndc<http://www.cos.edu/ndc>

2.       SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF VISALIA will be hosting a one-day DREAM IT BE IT CAREER CONFERENCE for girls on October 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  There is no charge to attend but preregistration is required.  Register online at https://www.sivisalia.org/dream-it-be-it.  The conference will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Visalia with activities and lunch will be included.

3.       PTSA meeting next Monday, October 28 at 12:15pm in the Redwood library. Everyone is welcome.

4.       COWHIDE DRESS UP DAYS:  Monday October 28th - Pajama Day; Tuesday October 29th - Mathlete vs. Athlete; Wednesday October 30th - Decades Day; Thursday October 31st - Spooktober (Halloween); Friday November 1st - Ranger Spirit Day!

5.       Please join PTSA. MEMBERSHIPS support teacher appreciation events and much more! Sign up before October 31ST to be entered in a drawing to win a VAPA (Visual Art Performing Art) or a Sports Pass. (Current PTSA members will be included in the drawing).

Seniors need to join PTSA by December 31 to be eligible for a PTSA scholarship.

6.       COWHIDE ASSEMBLY/ GAME VS. MT. WHITNEY Friday, November 1. Assembly schedule will be posted the day of.

7.       AP TESTING REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.  AP TESTING will take place May 4th - May 15th.  To register for an AP Exam, students must complete a registration form and pay for the exam in the Finance Office (cash only) or online at our Ranger Webstore.  Registration forms are in the Counseling Office outside of Ms. Molina's office.  The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 5th at 3:30 p.m.  The cost is $94 per exam.  If you qualify for free or reduced lunch or meet Federal Income Guidelines, you may qualify for a fee waiver.  All students qualify for a one-time fee waiver for one exam.  Please see Ms. Molina to apply for other fee waivers.  If you have any questions regarding AP testing, please contact Ms. Molina.

8.       CSF MEETING is Wednesday, November 6th in the gym at 12:35. Topics include upcoming community projects, t-shirt delivery, the SPCA & SOUP Kitchen project reports, senior luncheon and graduation info, trivia quizzes, and lots more! Attendance will be taken and doors will be locked at 12:40. Don't miss out!!

9.       GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY representative will be on campus Wednesday November 6th during 5th period in the upstairs library.  Sign up in the Counseling Office.

10.   A FRESNO PACIFIC UNIVERSITY representative will be on campus Thursday November 7th during 6th period in the upstairs library.  Sign up in the Counseling Office.

11.   The ASVAB TEST will be held on Tuesday November 12th for those interested in taking it.  The test begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Downstairs Library. Sign up in the Counseling Office.

12.   The annual PTSA SUPERFAN fundraiser has begun!  This is PTSA;s primary fundraiser so we can provide 5 senior scholarships, provide a teacher and staff appreciation lunch and donate a SUPERFAN t-shirt to every RHS student!  We need your help to do this!  Please go to:  gofundme.com/redwood-PTSA-superfan-fundraiser to donate.  Anyone who donates $100 or more will have a chance to win one of five SUPERFAN t-shirts! 2.       Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship
Amount:  $1,000 to $5,000 per year
Criteria:  Applicants must be:  *Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools)  *U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees  *Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application  *Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution  Application Process: Apply at https://webportalapp.com/sp/login/ccsf

3.      Elk's National Foundation Most Valuable Student
