  1.  TODAY IS Mathlete vs. Athlete! Cowhide dress up days: Wednesday October 30th - Decades Day; Thursday October 31st - Spooktober (Halloween); Friday November 1st - Ranger Spirit Day!
  2.  ARE YOU READY FOR COWHIDE? Get your reserved seating from the Redwood Football Boosters TODAY! Reserved seating is $25 and includes admission to the game. Reserved seating is NOT SOLD in the finance office! Don't be left without a seat!

  1.  HALLOWEEN PET COSTUME CONTEST! Paws 4 a Cause

Thursday Halloween Day 4:30-5:00 PM on the Quad

$2 entry fee

Any student and parent may enter and attend. Any friendly, well-mannered pet allowed on a leash, harness or in a carrier is welcome.

  1.  WANNA HAVE A GOOD LAUGH? Come to the Annual All School Improv show on SATURDAY! Tickets only $5 and can be purchased from the Drama Room at Sierra Vista, Room 15.  The show will be at the El Diamante Theater, on El D's campus. Tickets at the door will be $8, so get your tickets NOW from Mrs. Galvan
  2.  SAVE THE DATE!!!  The Redwood Ranger Marching Band and Color Guard's 15th Annual Holiday Home Tour will be December 14th from 12pm-5pm.  Stay tuned for information on ticket sales!!!
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1.  HARVEST PICTURES FROM ESSENCE ARE IN! They are available for pick up in the ASB room (rm.31).
  2.  ATTENTION RANGER TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES: We will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday October 30th during lunch about the upcoming Track season.  All student athletes interested in participating in the 2020 TRACK SEASON will need to attend.  For further questions see Coach Roebuck.
  3.  XL PROGRAM invites you to come by every Wednesday and Thursday from October 23rd to November 21st to the RHS Library from 3:30pm-4:30pm. They will be helping out with any questions or support you may need in your COLLEGE APPLICATIONS, FAFSA, OR CA DREAM ACT. There will be chrome-books available for you to use
  4.  Please join PTSA. MEMBERSHIPS support teacher appreciation events and much more! Sign up before October 31ST to be entered in a drawing to win a VAPA (Visual Art Performing Art) or a Sports Pass. (Current PTSA members will be included in the drawing).

Seniors need to join PTSA by December 31 to be eligible for a PTSA scholarship.

  1.  COWHIDE ASSEMBLY/ GAME VS. MT. WHITNEY Friday, November 1. Assembly schedule will be posted the day of.
  2.  AP TESTING REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.  AP TESTING will take place May 4th - May 15th.  To register for an AP Exam, students must complete a registration form and pay for the exam in the Finance Office (cash only) or online at our Ranger Webstore.  Registration forms are in the Counseling Office outside of Ms. Molina's office.  The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 5th at 3:30p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS. The cost is $94 per exam.  If you qualify for free or reduced lunch or meet Federal Income Guidelines, you may qualify for a fee waiver.  All students qualify for a one-time fee waiver for one exam.  Please see Ms. Molina to apply for other fee waivers.  If you have any questions regarding AP testing, please contact Ms. Molina she will be available all week during lunch.
  3.  CSF MEETING is Wednesday, November 6th in the gym at 12:35. Topics include upcoming community projects, t-shirt delivery, the SPCA & SOUP Kitchen project reports, senior luncheon and graduation info, trivia quizzes, and lots more! Attendance will be taken and doors will be locked at 12:40. Don't miss out!!
  4.  GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY representative will be on campus Wednesday November 6th during 5th period in the upstairs library.  Sign up in the Counseling Office.
  5.  A FRESNO PACIFIC UNIVERSITY representative will be on campus Thursday November 7th during 6th period in the upstairs library.  Sign up in the Counseling Office.
  6.  FALL ORCHESTRA CONCERT will be performing Thursday November 7th at 7p.m. in the L.J. Williams Theatre.
  7.  The ASVAB TEST will be held on Tuesday November 12th for those interested in taking it.  The test begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Downstairs Library. Sign up in the Counseling Office.
  8.  The annual PTSA SUPERFAN fundraiser has begun!  This is PTSA;s primary fundraiser so we can provide 5 senior scholarships, provide a teacher and staff appreciation lunch and donate a SUPERFAN t-shirt to every RHS student!  We need your help to do this!  Please go to:  gofundme.com/redwood-PTSA-superfan-fundraiser to donate.  Anyone who donates $100 or more will have a chance to win one of five SUPERFAN t-shirts!   2.  Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship
Amount:  $1,000 to $5,000 per year
Criteria:  Applicants must be:  *Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools)  *U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees  *Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application  *Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution  Application Process: Apply at https://webportalapp.com/sp/login/ccsf

  3.  Elk's National Foundation Most Valuable Student

Amount:  $1,000-$12,500 per year
