1. FOR THE LOVE OF ART! - Are you or do you know a high school student artist looking to make $ on their art? Visalia Education Foundation (VEF) can help students sell their art...it's easy and fun! Check out VEF's website for information on their upcoming art show and sale, For the Love of Art at http://www.visaliaedfoundation.org/. The deadline for submission is TODAY.
2. IF YOU are interested in next year's fall play or musical, you should come to a special meeting TODAY at lunch in room 15. It will be very short.
3. A COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE from Azusa Pacific University will be on campus TODAY during 2nd period in the Library. Sign-ups will be in the Counseling Office.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. PROM DRESS GIVE-AWAY!! Need help with the cost of a Prom Dress? Come to the Wyndham Hotel Visalia from 6am-1p on Saturday, March 28th. All dresses are free for Junior and Senior girls. Sizes 0-30. Every girl receives a dress and 1 accessory (purse or Jewelry). Your name must be submitted by the school prior to the event.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. WOW! IT'S BACK! Red Ink and Lit & Expression are delighted to once again bring you the Writing On The Walls contest. Writing, both prose and poetry and art entries will be accepted. We give awards in all three categories and publish the winners on posters that are hung around campus. If you'd like a chance to be published and share your work with the whole school, please enter today. Rules are available on the door of room 103. All entries must be typed/photographed and turned in digitally to mlink at vusd.us<mailto:mlink at vusd.us>. Deadline to enter is February 28 at midnight. Questions? 3. IMPORTANT CSF YEARBOOK PICTURE! All current CSF members need to meet behind the library past the drinking fountain at 12:35pm ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4, 2020. WEAR YOUR CSF T-SHIRTS. There are a few left for sale on a first come basis at $10 each in room 108. See you there!!!!
4. THE REDWOOD DANCE SHOW "20 Year Celebration" will be held April 23 & 24 @ 7 p.m. and April 25 @ 5 p.m. at L.J. Williams Theater. If you would like to place an ad in the program please email information to ebardonnex at vusd.org<mailto:ebardonnex at vusd.org> or mlapp at vusd.org<mailto:mlapp at vusd.org> by March 5, 2020. 1/8 page is $25, 1/4 page is $45, 1/2 page is $85, and a full page is $150 (photos can not be included in the 1/8 page ad). Payment can be made to RHS Dance in the finance center (no checks please).
5. FBLA presents The Feelin' Fresh Hygiene Closet. If you need everyday hygiene products (eq. shampoo/ conditioner, soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, fem hyg products, etc.) for free, stop by the nurse's office and grab some!
6. ENJOY GAMING? Come put your skills to the test and take your team all the way to the state championship. This spring Redwood high school will have League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch, Fortnite, and a Smash Bros. esports teams. Contact Mr. Cazarez Room 45 with your interest in gaming for this spring season.

10. THE FOLLOWING 5 SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE VISALIA ROTARY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

* The Dwelle Four Year Scholarship is a four year college scholarship for the Redwood High School graduate who maintains a 2.8 or greater grade point average. The scholarship can be as much as $3,000 per year for a full four years.
* The Provident Salierno Family Foundation Music Scholarship is for students interested in a music career who maintains a 3.0 or greater grade point average. The scholarship currently provides about $600 per year for the student at the five high schools listed in the purpose.
*The Richard B. "Dick" Watson $2,000 STEM Scholarship (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) scholarship consists of two, one-time scholarships awarded each year to students from either Redwood, Mt. Whitney, Golden West, or El Diamante high schools who have demonstrated excellence in both the classroom and extracurricular activities.
*The Robert Harrell Career and Technical Education Scholarship currently gives approximately 30 scholarships at $1,000 each for various vocational technical programs. The scholarship is for a student who is from Visalia and is pursuing a vocational technical school in an accredited institution.
*The Jane & Bill Nash Scholarship consists of a $4,000, one year college scholarship for a graduating Redwood High School senior who maintains an unweighted, grade point average between 2.8 and 3.5.
